It p*sses me off that everyday courtesy on the road has now been appropriated as the channel 7 perth wave. I must have seen it at least 100 times now and I only watch Channel 7 for the football telecasts. Simple fact is that it shouldn't be illegal to run your car over Basil Zempalis at a pedestrian crossing.
Lol, classic branding of something that already existed for a century. How innovative Channel 7!!

I’m pissed that we have gone backwards this year.

Pissed that the club seems rudderless and lacking identity. Bell seems to have too much power and the president makes it seems as though the club is reactive to supporter anger rather than have a plan

Pissed that we are on track to win 4-5 games and that we most likely won’t get a priority pick. Pissed that if we do we bloody needed one.

Logue going down couldn’t have been a one or two week injury.. not even surprised just resigned to it happening.

Pearce ready for found one... he will miss more than 18 months of football by the time he plays again. And do we know anything about Hamling? Nope. Months after the injury the club doesn’t seem to know his status. If they know - bloody well say. Otherwise, it seems as if you don’t know which after months is nothing short of deplorable.

finally - we are wasting fyfes prime and not getting to see hilly’s prime. So disappointed.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel and it’s shining pretty bright. Things will get better.

We need to get our best team on the park and reset next season. So many talented players missing. Next season in round 1 we could have
Pearce
Hamling
Logue
Young
Fyfe
Hogan
Sturt
Liam Henry
Stephen Hill

That’s 9 high quality players there. Add in say, one high draft pick from 2020 like Logan McDonald or Grainger Barras and we would have a very decent 22 taking the field next season.
Alll immaterial of course if our S&C is not changed in the off season.

Same thing year after year.

Game style:
Not once did we attack down the middle and take the game on when we were 3 goals down last night. Not f##king once. FFS Justin, I can see what you are trying to do with this short kick possession game but you still need to try to win the game at some point.

Injuries: Top 5 worse in the comp year after year. We will never be a professional outfit until we address it.

Administation: Just f##k things up. I ordered a membership last year for myself and kids at the start of December last year. Nothing came through till February - and even then it was different to what I ordered. Why are we paying Ross Lyon 1 mil a year for sitting on his arse in the media? Do we have the best of the best employed in their roles? Everyone knows Jason Weber. Who is the sports psych? Why did Nat Fyfe attribute the only time he got through a full year with no soft tissue injuries to meeting with a pilates instructor in a coffee shop. So let me get this straight - a random f##king meeting with a girl in a coffee shop has done more for stopping his soft tissue injuries than our own trained S&C staff?? Who actually employees all of these people? Were does the buck stop?

Recruitment Jess Hogan will not be the messiah just like Scott Gumbleton will not be the messiah just like Trent Croad will not be the messiah. The only success we've ever had is on the back of 2008/09 going to draft in and then grow our own.
Back our system - even Taberner and Tucker are coming good. Also, lets recruit guys with the right competitive mindset regardless of talent, so we favour an Andrew Brayshaw type over a Brandon Matera type. Even Shultz - for all his limitations - at least gives 100% at every contest.

Coaching Do we have the best of the best on all levels? Why is Sean Darcy giving away shit loads of free kicks every game? Why could the midfield never really win clearances convincingly when we had Sandilands? How about we forget cushy jobs to the boys and just go for the best coaches.

Irrelevance
We always will be to the rest of the competition until we get these things right.

f*** the AFL umpires - absolute warlords of corruption, you greasy galoshing gang-banging monkey spunks :poo::devil:

Actually just **** Carlton as a club. Last time they won a flag they were cheating the salary cap. Last time they made finals was cause Essendon were disqualified. More AFL era wooden spoons then anyone.

They bang on like they should be proud of themselves, but at best they're Melbourne with a slightly more prestigious VFL history.

fu** footy full stop, I’m not too keen on watching Carlton’s ‘amazing’ finish on all the footy shows or the wiggles get an umpire armchair ride today, gonna take a break for a bit.
Yep. My feelings too, well summed up. An example is AFL.com.au - “contentious decision”. **** off AFL 😡

I hate talking about umpiring, but I am in a continual state of confusion watching games this year. I am not talking about mistakes (eg Cox’ non-mark, or the ridiculous ABray contact), but HTB and ruck officiating. I have absolutely no feel for what is and is not legal anymore.

Last night was a great example, but I see it in most games. Throws may or may not be pinged. Head high and in the back is a raffle, and if rucking is consistently ruled on I am in a state of early dementia. I’ve been critical of Darcy’s ruck craft previously, but last night TDK was hanging off his left arm all night, but apparently that is play on?

It’s confusing and is a big blight on the game at the moment.

The problem is neither do the umpires it seems. We probably need to aim the disdain we have toward umpires at the AFL instead for making the game impossible to be consistently adjudicated. Can't imagine being a player out there not knowing if today they'll be hot on this or that - it seems like a guessing game for players.

You're right, my disdain is 80% towards the AFL, 20% for serial offenders.

I'd hate to be a player or umpire at the moment, the lack of clarity around the laws of the game must be frustrating.
