Series needed it - dodgers at 3-1 would have gone on to win it in 5 i reckon.

Phillips is in there to be a pinch runner - probably never expected to get an AB let alone the match winning AB in a world series playoff game

The end result of this series will have some say in how his postseason will be viewed but Randy Arozarena’s postseason has been heroic and one of the greatest in recent memory.
As for that game, it’s also quite comfortably in the top handful of World Series games I’ve ever seen.
