After nearly two months, after 64 teams from 45 designers, across eight leagues and a massive finals series in the biggest competition in BigFooty Footy Jumpers & Graphic Design history, it comes down to this.

Welcome to the 2020 NAFL Grand Final, between the Uluru Cockatoos from Freight Train and the Sydney Australians from El_Scorcho. This is a historic rivalry spanning years across this board, with these two designers facing off in finals of all major tournaments over the years, this will be the third and final NAFL Grand Final featuring these two designers. It's all square between these two, with Freight Train having won the 2015/16 Grand Final with the Perth Boomers, and El_Scorcho returning serve in the 2016/17 Grand Final with the Waikato Tigers. The end of an era, the last dance - this is the final chapter of this trilogy.

This is what it's all about, who will take home the shiny badge from the biggest competition in FJGD history?

Before we get underway, we have a special pre-show set from Australian rock legends, Powderfinger!

We're drawing closer to the opening bounce, as both teams make their way out through the banners for the biggest day on the FJGD calendar.

Out first... the Uluru Cockatoos!

And next... the Sydney Australians!

Now, could everyone please rise for the Australian National Anthem, performed by Dami Im.

(Totally just an excuse to relive the Power Stance, lol)

This is it, here we go, it's time for the opening bounce in the 2020 NAFL Grand Final.

Best of luck to El_Scorcho, very cool to have it end how it began. ❤️

Honestly did not see myself making it this far in the competition when it started given the unprecedented number of high quality entries, so very chuffed to have made it this far. Win or lose, will be stoked either way.

I tried to get tickets to this but the queue was astronomical and by the time i finally got to 5000th in the queue all the tickets were sold out. Does anyone have a ticket they could resell? I am willing to trade a collection of bottle caps, or a signed headshot of Freight Train.

Best of luck to you as well mate, just really flattered to be here again in such a strong competition. The fact that Sydney lost their double chance game and still made it shows how ridiculously close this season has been among the top 16 or so.

Really proud to see how everyone has continued to push the envelope, and especially excited to see some big jumps in quality from a few designers as well as a few newcomers arriving and putting together very strong entries.

full speech and tacky premiership merch dropping tomorrow, but both this win, and this entire competition as a whole are my proudest accomplishments in my time as part of this community.

thank you El_Scorcho for an incredible matchup, and thank you to everyone who voted, don’t think we’ve seen this many voters many times before.

absolutely chuffed.

And once again, for the third year, I'm here to congratulate Freight on what has been the most impressive run of dominance FJGD has ever seen in NAFL or any of our big comps for that matter, certainly it will take quite some time before we see anything like what Perth (to Uluru) has accomplished over these last few seasons. Goes to show how far a winning formula can take you (that or the subliminally hypnotic effects of the ochre gimmick, not sure which yet).

Commiserations to El_Scorcho, who in the end just nabbed my vote for the execution and novelty of a national identity juxtaposed over a domestic football club. Very much excited to see where you take the Australians.

What a bloody comp this is :)

I could type out a long-winded speech but I think this matchup has spoken for itself.

Congratulations FT and commiserations Scorcho, seriously incredible stuff you guys have put together this season.

Congrats to scorch, well done to the new GOAT on title number 4.

Huge congrats to FT for continuing to get it done in this competition despite the standard rising so dramatically each year. It was an honour to be in the GF in such a close field. Thanks also to FT as a competition runner for such a fun new format!

Congrats FT on the dub, a very well deserved winner in such a quality competition, what a way to go out. Well done on running the comp too, the commitment required to run a competition is insane enough, let alone with daily polls for a month and then some and the innovation you brought in this season will go a long way to keeping this competition as the pinnacle of the board.
Commiserations to Scorch who had a terrific concept and identity and I’m sure you’ll be right in the mix for next season’s premiership.
I also want to thank both designers for helping me with my Whittlesea designs, I checked in with both Freight Train and Scorch from the early days of my design process and while I didn’t really change the design itself very much from the start, they both gave me valuable tips for the presentation which is something both guys are champions at, probably top 2 on the board for everything they do.
I still think Harbour City and Waikato were the top 2 teams this season but these two teams are both definitely incredible entries and very deserving grand finalists.

Congratulations Freighty, a truly monumental effort to run and win a competition of this size and length, a truly fitting way to bow out of comps too with a classic FT v Scorch matchup. Uluru was a real complete package when it comes to concept, presentation & execution and was very difficult to beat, as many of us learnt first hand.
