I can start threads, I just can't edit my own posts....which means I can't edit polls or titles given they are part of the opening post.

I can't "react".

There's probably other things I can't do.

But now that I'm a Chiefs lifetime supporter, and the site owner is named Chief....maybe he grants me access again :p

How many QBs do you think WILL versus COULD go in the 1st Round?
3 will go 100% in the first round.

I think Love could go late first to a team that wants that 5th year option.

I don't know enough about Eason to make a prediction for him

There is still a pretty big ? to what the Patriots and Saints will do at QB since we do not know Brady or Brees' intentions, Saints are much more likely to go all in and try to win it again with Brees so less likely to take a first round QB. Patriots never seem to need to go all in so a QB makes sense.

I would say 4 minimum 1st round QBs and maybe 5.

I love a good mock draft and I know it would be very hard but it's annoying when someone tries to put out a 7 round mock like this guy on Bleacher Report has, and he's just completely got my teams wrong and it won't look anything like that. Good effort but at least try and make it accurate.

I reckon with so many QB needy teams -- including Chargers, Saints, Patriots, Lions, Steelers -- that we could see a record number go in the 1st.
But more realistically, probably 3-4 in the 1st, and then another 3-4 in the 2nd.
And I reckon all those dual-threat Option QBs that normally go in the 4th+ rounds, could all go in the 2nd-3rd....due to the success of Lamar Jackson.

Lions aren't moving on from Stafford, at least not this season.

If Brees is back for the Saints then they are all in and won't be going QB earlier than 3rd round.

Patriots need a QB for the future.

Newton could be playing elsewhere.

Bridgewater could/should be a starter somewhere.

Winston could be playing elsewhere but I don't see the Buccs drafting a QB unless Arians does a Andy Reid and trades up for 'his guy' ala Mahomes.

There will be a handful of teams thinking about Lawrence for 2021.

Ive seen mocks with Simmons going anywhere from the Giants to the Browns at 10.

He is going to be a star, can play LB or as a DB in Nickel/Dime.
If Simmons fell to the Panthers they would take him in a heartbeat to replace Keuchly.

Stupid 49er SB run distracted me from the best part of the NFL year.

Now...for the compo pick specialists. Given Sanders was traded for a 3rd and a 4th with a 5th coming back....if he signs elsewhere it will be for more than the 49ers would/could pay....could they get a 3rd round compo back in return effectively making Sanders a half year rental for the cost of moving from end of the 4th to early 5th?

He'd most likely have to sign for more than $13m per year to earn the 9ers a 3rd round comp pick next year.

Its certainly possible as his last contract was for $11m per year, but given he's 33 years old I'm not sure how likely that it is that he he earns more than his previous contract

Thanks drd23 ....so the 49ers could probably retain him at a reasonable rate or if he gets overs somewhere they recoup a traded draft pick.

Yeah, he'd likely fetch a 4th round pick at least, as I'd assume someone would pay him a $9m AAV contract at a minimum. All this is assuming he plays enough games - the Ravens have been stiffed out of a 3rd rounder this year because CJ Mosley only played one game this season

Here's the list of presumed comp picks for the upcoming draft and what the associated contract was

Hope we steer clear of qbs this year, going to cost a small fortune to move up for Tua, a proper fortune to move up for Burrow.

Herbert and Fromm don't fill me with any great confidence.

I really like Andrew Thomas, wouldn't mind getting the OLine sorted before we draft our next QB so if he's there at #6 I'm keen.

Having said that, wouldn't surprise me if we looked to trade down with how many holes on defense we now have.

I like Simmons but not at #7

Lot of high praise for the Ohio State CB but im not so sure.

The DT Derrick Brown probably the safest pick in the 5-10 range to me.
