NFL 2020 NFL - Week 4

Been laughing a DJ Chark's injury report.

"Chark's chest/back injury looks like keeping him on the sidelines for another week. The Jags have said he'll be fine but they are taking cautious approach with it"

Chest/back? Ohhhhh you mean lungs perhaps? 😂

Love how the nfl has made sure not to name the players who have tested positive....🤔

Surely this blows up if the titans players were active against the Vikings... Can't see how only one team can have positive tests.

Titans placed DE DaQuan Jones, TE Tommy Hudson, and LS Beau Brinkley on the COVID-19 list.
These three players and five other Titans staff members have tested positive. The team will stay away from facilities until at least Saturday, but they need to pass COVID-19 testing before attempting to play on Sunday. The NFL is prepared to delay the Titans vs. Steelers game to Monday if another day is needed. Because the Vikings played the Titans last Sunday, they too will be away from facilities until testing clears them. It's the first major scare in the NFL.

The Houston Chronicle reports the Texans have decided not to sign free agent S Earl Thomas.
"After a lot of internal discussion, Texans decided Earl Thomas wasn't a good fit," John McClain reported. Thomas took his physical but never worked out for the Texans. It's unclear if the medical review turned up an issue. The Texans were Thomas' first real interest after he was cut by the Ravens in late August. His NFL future is uncertain following the murky circumstances of his Baltimore departure.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the NFL "wants and intends" to play Titans/Steelers as scheduled on Sunday, but that moving to Monday evening will be a possibility.
Per Schefter, this would "allow for additional testing and contact tracing to occur." It would also enable the Titans, who are not allowed back in their facility until Saturday, to get in a day of practice. Frankly, this seems like a no-brainer even if the Titans' outbreak is capped at its current three players. This will be a continually-evolving situation all week.

  • Eagles signed TE Hakeem Butler off the Panthers' practice squad.
The Eagles are converting wideout Butler to tight end. The No. 103 overall pick of last year's draft, Butler spent Arizona's entire 2019 season on injured reserve with a finger injury, a highly-unusual occurrence. He then failed to make the Cardinals' practice squad after being waived this summer. He had been cooling his heels in Carolina. The position switch is certainly in line with Butler's 6-foot-5, 225-pound frame, though he does not lack for high-end athleticism. The Eagles are hoping they have a Darren Waller on their hands, but fantasy players shouldn't be surprised if Butler sees zero targets during Dallas Goedert's (ankle) absence. This is almost certainly a move made with the long-term in mind. This is the stuff Dynasty league fliers are made of.

Clearly decided there is room for only one locker room cancer. AB.

Desperado Bill ...just has no idea what he’s doing. The dangers of making a HC a GM as well. This is a guy who questioned Hopkins kids/attitude whatever, yet contemplates a malcontent that well run clubs like Seahawks and Ravens have washed their hands of.

They’ll probably shift both games to Monday and put GB Atl back to Sunday
I think they will keep MNF the same. but just move the games to Monday and keep them on Fox regional coverage. They have done that before like when the Vikes roof fell apart and they moved the game to the monday night in Detroit. might of been against a AFC team. the next week they played at the University of Minnesota against the Bears or something and almost got Favre killed when he got KOd on the frozen field.

Might be interesting to see if any other players pull the pin now that positives have been reported.
If they do it will only be players who have the money to skip the season. since the opt out payment loan closed before week 1.
