I’m thinking a true two-way defenceman might have more than 1G and 7As in 56 games playing in a Maple Leafs team as “juiced up” with offensive talent as they had last season. Possibly more than 1G and 3A’s in 30 career playoff games.

But maybe that’s just my opinion...

The NHL will return on 13 January

NHL season to start Jan. 13, play 56 games in agreement with NHLPA

- 56 match season
- 4 realigned divisions (including an all-Canadian 'North' division)
- Intradivisional matches only
- Teams in the 3 US divisions will play each other 8 times
- Teams in the north division will play each other 9-10 times
- Top 4 from each division will qualify for Playoffs, with the first two rounds essentially a divisional playoff series
