I think it's a follow up to his tweet about the media hounding players/coaches who are under pressure. And contrasting that to the outpouring of solemn grief when reporters were losing their jobs the last few months.
No Pressure Cooker for the media identities, who'll be the next tv commentator to be sacked speculation, dead man walking journos etc whereas for players/coaches similar speculation is an extension of the sport.
Whether you agree with him or not... but that's where he's coming from here I think. Laidley, Thompson, Hird all significant issues recently. Frawley? I know he coached a long time ago. Walsh even?

2007 could have turned out so differently, to be honest I wish 2004 had turned out differently too, I was cheering the Lions on in Sydney pub, locals couldnt understand why the hatred towards a SA team. Port have just one flag in their existence and they act like campaigners.

Hirds problems were caused by Hird and no-one else.
If anything the Media did its best to protect him and gloss over how truly appauling his beavior was, making weak ass 'he's a good guy' defenses.
Likewise Laidley. The media didn't push him into abusing his wife, that is 100% on him.
So frankly cry me a river, these pathetic wretches deserve what they get.
Hehe, I watched the "Dream Final" in a pub in Qld; I had to bribe the locals with Bundy to get a share of the only TV in the bar (vs the NRL). At one stage, one of them said "I don't know why you need to keep watching this, you're belting them."

??? That is madness. Dean’s marriage breakdown can be easily explained by his preference to spend time as a lady. His drug addiction is much more related to his playing days, not unique pressures experienced as a coach. The fuq is wrong with Plough, he can’t be that stupid.
Thompson no different. Arrogance combined with his existing drug dalliances. It’s not being a coach that is the problem, it’s the person that is the coach.

A Victoria Police senior constable from the southern metropolitan area is suspended over the unauthorised leak of photos of former AFL coach Dean Laidley in custody on the weekend. The officer is the second to be suspended over the incident.

. But really, it's an honest question. Why are you sad you saw those photos? Why do you hope he gets the help he needs? Trying to understand people's reaction to the news that he was a well known cross-dresser. But more importantly, an apparent stalker, crack head and possible dealer. I'm interested to know where their pity lies.
