I think it will take a while to genuinely be able to attract some decent players here.

At least until the list smooths out and starts showing some promise on the field. A clean out of board and administration, with an ability to show a decent change in culture. Plus, a move to a decent new facility. Attracting a decent coaching panel is probably the first step.
Agree with all points, and to turn all the above around is not just around the corner👍

If you are thinking of changing clubs and you look at our coaching panel and ask yourself, how are they going to improve me🤷‍♂️

How bad are the Hawks going this year.
They have traded in so many high draft picks that they should be doing a whole lot better than they are.
I wonder whats going on down there ?
The Clarkson magic wearing off ?

Their list is in disarray, and no kids are coming through.

Agreed. Their list of players below 40 games played is atrocious. It's Will Day, Finn Maginness, Mitch Lewis, Jack Scrimshaw and some very average players. They've got 21 players in that group.

Our list, for all its faults, is way better in that experience bracket. Doedee, Fogarty, O'Brien, Jones, McAsey, McHenry, Hamill just to name a few

That SA kid Josh Morris has shown glimpses in his first couple of games he might be alright I reckon and they have a pretty talented tall defender in Jacob Koschitzke I'm surprised they're not fast tracking

Too busy playing Ben McEvoy as a key defender

Massive danger game.

There would be nothing more Crows than spending 2-3 weeks getting our most experienced side back together and running into a bit of form, just to have a red hot crack at Norf.

At AO maybe, but playing away we'll lose by about 40 points. Won't be much of a spectacle.

All that is agreeable. But in the end it’s gonna be coin.

Hey Misty, you on the cans?

If there isn't much difference between offers from a number of clubs, all of those points (and probably more) would be weighed up. Who's want to move to AFC with their facilities basically in a construction site, challenged coaches, and a dysfunctional board and executive.

I get the feeling Clarkson might be mentally checked out at this point. It's an incredible run, 15 years and 4 premierships, but I think we'll have a handover scenario announced next year.
He hasn't checked out. He pitched and has made a conscious decision not to bottom and go to the draft. Similar philosophy and scenario to Craig, except Hawthorn have looked to bring in high draft players with injury histories to sustain their list. And it'd be fair to say at this point in time it's failing

Like you, course. X
To prime your rig as an AFL player it wouldn’t matter where the site of your training or how the club is running at board exec level is.
It’d be what’s coming into your hip pocket. Otherwise the AFLPA would’ve been very accomodating to the the discussion this yr.
