I get the feeling Clarkson might be mentally checked out at this point. It's an incredible run, 15 years and 4 premierships, but I think we'll have a handover scenario announced next year.

It’s a great run and good for him if he still wants to kick on, he’s clearly demonstrated his commitment to Hawthorn over the years and never looked like being tempted to go elsewhere.

Now however, you’d have to think other clubs would have their best chance to prise him out of there. Especially someone like GWS with the chance to maximise existing talent rather than stay at Hawthorn and do a rebuild.

He has brain farts that seem to end up in 6 points nearly every time.
The amount he’s around the ball and the negating of his opponent just gets equaled out.
The reverse on North’s shot at goal at 3 qtr time was just dopey.

It's really not, the only quality draftee I could possibly see us wanting that's not likely available to us if we retain Pick 1 is Jamarra Ugle-Hagan and about the only other spoken for player I could see us interested in with our 2nd pick as it stands currently would be Swans Academy player Braeden Campbell

'journos' have been guessing player salaries for ages. Bit different when a club board member puts them out there as a statement of fact. Still, couldn't care less that he did it except it was just bullshit excusing our crap salary cap management and inability to keep players.

Absolutely, and why wouldn't you. As long as they're honest with the player with what they're offering and that they'll take them in either draft if we don't accept. You never pay more than you need to especially when you have first pick in the PSD and you know that it's highly unlikely anyone will agree to the contract terms if you want to use a 6th rounder in the main draft.

And Richmond continues to pile the pain on us. Should be smashing GWS to help us get a better first round pick but showing Crows like goal kicking...
