I didn't watch any of tonight's game.

But apparently the umpires won it for the Saints.

Despite St Kilda winning the clearances 30 to 42 and inside 50s 36 to 41.

And five goals kicked by guys around 200cm, against their midget backline.

Pafc1870 carrying On like a muppet in the game day thread. Quite a funny read. Saints played a great second half.
he’s always carrying on like a muppet.. he comes onto our board and plays the nice guy “I’m just here with some supportive and constructive criticism“ type.. but all you need to do is scratch the surface and it exposes the real bloke.. the bloke who‘s hatred of the crows eats at him daily..

he shouldve been banned from our board permanently after his performance in one of our boards very own showdown game day threads a couple of years back.. it was completely unhinged.

More making the point that all the others have taken it up a notch but Rozee has done the classic first season Power wonder like Wines and SPP did.
The problem with Wines and SPP is that they both have very limited seniors. Strongly-built mids who were ready to go as soon as they were drafted. They were able to have an impact straight-away but, because they're both one-dimensional, they haven't and won't progress from where they were in their first seasons. Daniel Rich was in a similar boat.

Geez they are turning on Hinkley over there 😄

It's very true though. They are in a very similar position to us in 2017. Some older senior players in good form and some good youngsters with breakout seasons, then some of their experienced more average players doing their role well/hitting above their average. When those older players fall off the cliff, and they lose a player or two like a Wines - it will all collapse around them, just like it did for us.

He won't be here this week.

Four tough games coming up for the Georgie Porgies, so may not see him for a while.

Our list was good enough to still contend of the premiership for 4 years after 2017 if we didn't self imploded, then it would have given us the best opportunity to slowly transition the older players out instead Pyke was trying to make the finals since we were still in contention in 2018 and 2019 and with the external review end of last year we had to do a hard rebuild after the finding and here we are.

Can't unsee...

Poor old Port 😝

One poster starts off “I never blame the umpires..” and then goes on to do exactly that

Meanwhile Ford Fiesta gets all nostalgic about what Fos would have done and Jack would have done

As if those teams have anything to do with this current franchise

My understanding is that Finals is a trigger clause extension in his contract.

We want Port to make finals in Corona 2020.
Then knocked out the 1st week at home against West Coast after the siren.

Win/win.

At least some of them get it....both seasons will be an asterisk and we might end with Band 1 compensation in consecutive years with both Crouch brothers, just need a club to offer at least $650-700K.
