It's not a crack at Chayce. He just shouldn't have been a top ten pick.
Why? Because he hasn’t lived up to expectations after 15 games? Does his game against the Bulldogs last year not matter because he’s struggled in the worst team in the comp this year? His U18 form would suggest he was a very worthy top 10 pick. Drafting isn’t an exact science, but his U18 form would’ve had him in most teams first round calculations.

He's getting plenty of chances to show his potential but he's not showing much.
Skills aren't even quite up to it.

EVERY team.

Don't bother getting involved with posters that get great joy in kicking players when they're down or going through a rough patch of form.

There will be some really amusing comments here to revisit in a few years when we don't have the worst coaching panel ever assembled
How are you so confident that will change?

He is getting good chances this season, unfortunately there is absolutely zilch support from the senior mids that the likes of Serong gets at Freo. If he’s still struggling at this point next season when hopefully the teams form has picked up a bit, then absolutely we can start to worry then. It’s a very hard season to develop your craft at training due to restrictions and then on game day the Crouches, Sloane (when playing) and others are not offering a lot.

Other than his missed goal yesterday, his skills have been fine. The talent is absolutely there, just be patient, not all kids develop at the same rate.

Yep, absolutely:

The AFL are getting absolutely blasted by all journos on Twitter, surely they will see this and realize they’ve ballsed this up?

It's blatant corruption, disgusting from the AFL. In standing down the journalist they're saying they wanted the issue swept under the rug!

Given the AFL has not stood down reporters for covering issues like the Crows breach, you'd have to think it's classic Victorian big club favoritism.

AFL should be hauled in front of an appropriate standards board and taken to task.

Vendetta? Jones is a pick 9. Every crows supporter should be disappointed right now. We need more than 6, 6 and 8 touches from someone who is supposed to help drag us out of this mess.
He's 19 years old. He's not going to drag us out of this mess.

Given a chance he'll may become a great part of the midfield. He's not going to suddenly become a Dangerfield, Fyfe or Martin

Got to laugh that Carlton board have an entire forum about us, what's with all the hate from them?

That Red Bull has a seriously unhealthy obsession with us. Parrots the same stuff every post and brings us into every single one. We're heading towards being the worst AFL team since it re-named from the VFL, but 5 spoons in 18 years, a multitude of high draft picks yet are still battling to make the finals suggests that Blues fans really need to be looking at how well they've been run since the turn of the century.

This is a job for the AFL’s integrity unit.

Love to have a go at the media as much as anyone, but this seems very odd

Was about to post this

And this is why the media jump into the AFL agenda and there is no critical reporting of the AFL
