They didn't want work officially getting out before their MG sponsorship announcement.
"Thanks for the sponsorship MG, it's great to be in a partnership with you.

Just one thing, you know that China thing we were spruiking, umm, well, good news, it's in Cairns this year so you can save on airfares.

Ok, gotta run"

It's interesting with the game in China, originally everyone in the media and AFL officials wanted to join the gravy train. Each year it has slowly dropped off to the point where I sensed some relief that it has been cancelled. I know a few people involved at Port and they feel a bit the same.

Yep, perfect timing for Port to knock it on the head for health reasons without admitting defeat and pretend they're disappointed about it.

The AFL will be using the Coronavirus for the next five years as an excuse not to go back there

All it would take is for one player to have the coronavirus post-China and link it to their China trip, regardless if it happened that way or not.

The legal minefield would be mind-boggling.

Looks like ex-China game will be at Marvel.

Well done and sensible decision Saints. As long as it doesn't cost Ken his job.

Over summer, Port would have penciled in a win against the Saints in China.

At the Dome, this changes everything.

Just curious, what video content you'd love to see the club put out? Like more post-game interviews with players/coaches? More get to know the players content? More funny/joke stuff/light-hearted stuff with the players? Any other ideas of cool content from the club you'd love to watch?

Interesting discussion about Hately potentially moving to Port on here.

No one mentioned what draft assets Port (don’t) have to make the trade with GWS.

Adelaide certainly have the draft currency for this year to make an appropriate trade.

Now I don’t know how “compromised” the 2021 draft is in regards to nga and fs talent, or if GWS have a highly rated academy prospect or not, but if I was GWS, I might favour Ports 2021 first round pick, ahead of what Adelaide might offer.

Especially as there has been talk that the 2021 draft might be on par with the 2018 draft, talent wise, at top end. A potential top 10-12 pick from Port in a strong draft might be more appealing.

p.s. I don’t really rate Hately as high as most appear to.

Port will trade Wines to get him.

You would have to think what Port get for Wines, would be a bit much to trade for Hately. Unless they split the pick, or receive 2 mid to late firsts for Wines.

If I were GWS, I’d still play the long game, and ask for a 2021 first round pick from Port.

Unless Wines has a substantially better price year this year he isn't worth heaps. He has was ordinary last year and has injury issues.

A mid-teens pick would be a good outcome for Port and trading that for Hately is about right. (Unless he wants to to come to Adelaide; in which case he's only worth late 2nd round).

I unironically think this is a good idea

We own Legacy eSports who have various pros from LoL to Starcraft

We have seen the Crows play basketball and cricket matches

Let’s see a couple of the tech savvy younger lads playing a Starcraft match vs Probe, or something.
Wow I have KFI I’ll leave this topic alone

I hope we are going after Hately too. Especially with our Nicks relationship. Seems like hes a loyal bloke though and will only consider a move if it meant security and opportunity. Was playing a fair bit of half back today.
I would be interested to know when we got the Giants 1st rd pick, was Hatelys name enquired upon?
