Ummmm what?

Surely he means twitch streams of AFL games?
That would make no sense

It was in response to “what other content would you like to see from the club”

It is probably with Mitch Robinson’s Twitch streams in mind

I can’t see AFL broadcast on Twitch anytime soon. Will whomever owns the rights for internet streaming decide it is more profitable to rely on Twitch subscriptions than selling their own app (Kayo)? Seems unlikely.

Thunderbirds just got fined 100k for TTP breaches in 2019.

Geelong, an infinitely richer club in an infinitely richer league gets fined 40k for 8 years of TTP breaches.

Can't make this stuff up.
wow and the Thunderbirds finished last didnt they?
Netball SA doesn't have 100k to throw around either

Didn't we get like a $300k fine for paying Tiprat outside the cap? And then the draft sanctions for putting in his contract to 'trade him for a third rounder'?

What have Geelong actually done though? The articles I have read are to vague....

8 Years of breaches? C'mon AFL, in the name of equality, fairness, and consistency, we copped draft sanctions, so surely Geelong do too?

The penalty was given by the current AFL GM of Football Operations - that is former Cats player Steven Hocking, who was also the GM at Geelong during the period when the administrative errors were made.

No one has thought of the Chinese people in all this. I bet they are all devastated they can't go to a game they dont care about
Port have already considered this and put several isolation tents up out the back of the oval so it's just like being at the game

Shhh...nobody was supposed to know that.

When was the story broken..oh yeah, 8pm Thursday night the same time as team selection.

Coincidence? 🤐

Rumour: Meanwhile in an unrelated story, FIFA are interested in recruiting a senior AFL official

Yeah, I'm not saying it's going to happen.

But a club sanctioned twitch stream of players playing fortnite sounds as cringeworthy as the choir at the airport!!

FIFA? The sporting organisation that is globally known for their high levels of well documented corruption has scoured the globe for a recruit that would fit their organisation, and landed on an current AFL employee?

Well that can't be a good sign for AFL house!

That's just gobsmacking.

In any organisation with the remotest sense of good governance or integrity, Hocking would have recused himself, or his boss would have tapped him on the shoulder. But not the AFL.

AFL media is so F-d up, from the AFL themselves to everyone else chasing a headline.

If a $5000 a year fine totalling $40,000 is "huge" and "massive" what is everything else, there are no small stories, how big was our camp story really if a nothing fine like the Geelong story is as big as Mitch Cleary's article claims it is. Was it really the biggest story of all time or was it just a regular story 10 years ago but SHOCKING/MASSIVE/HUGE because we were told it was...

There are no massive stories, just massive over reactions.

This was so massive that it was released on a Thursday night, no one will remember it by Monday and it's already tucked away a few pages deep on the AFL websites news section.

It's really not "massive" this guys just a massive flog, but everyone is out here trying to make a name for themselves off these "huge" stories, it's getting boring now.

Jesus can we get one season without every player being asked about 'the camp'
The only way to stop talk of the camp is if we do some even more outlandish and ill-thought out that does greater damage

The camp will be long forgotten
