Has this Essendon thing been mentioned here. Some Irish guy tested negative 5 times but has returned a positive and the game is postponed now. Conor McKenna

It looks like the Crows lost perspective with Gibbs and really just wanted to trade for him for the fans to end the big fish debate. Big fail. Should have walked away as we know. It doesn't strike me as a sound list managers decision it smells like interference from the top.

We forget how good Gibbs was, now that he's fallen off a cliff. NO ONE thought he'd suddenly stop knowing how to footy.

I hope Nicks realizes that having potentially Picks 1 and 2, can set up his coaching career in season 2 and beyond.

Dew saw the writing on the wall in the latter half of the year. A lot of those Suns smashings IMO were self inflicted to make the situation look worse than what it was.
Hopefully we can draft Scully and Trengove.

How good he was?

Gibbs has never been an elite match winning player.

Yeah his form is down, but even at his best he wasn't worth anythingcclose to what we paid for him.

Can anyone explain in me how Gil believes that Essendon can play Melb in a couple of days time?
He thinks if they have a negative test the players don't have it so all good!

Considering the close contact I'd almost think 21 day quarantine for all players in the vicinity would seem about right therefore Essendon players can't play or train for 3 weeks.

Especially considering McKenna was blowing and spitting all over the place.

Over his career he's a b grader. Probably had more a grade games the previous 2-3 years than those that preceded them. Was way overrated but even then, his spiral to complete spud couldn't be predicted. But then, he's probably one of the few players that has actually left a club solely for the money. He didn't want to leave Carlton, but he'd torched his front end cash one way or another.

During the Essendon saga we heard the media and players bang on about player welfare and the welfare of their families.

Not even a consideration now?

I know most will agree with you, but the Bryce Gibbs of 2016 and 2017, when he was going at 27 disposals a game at 70% was actually a fantastic player.

If we'd gotten three or four years of that, he could have been worth it.

Would be a good selection, similar to Deven Robertson for us.

Kid is a high character, strong leadership type.
Think we both were trying to trade up after night 1 of the draft to get him
In the end we get Schoenberg so not all bad but still I was shocked he drifted so far
Kemp was the other I was hoping we’d trade up for

There's an incredibly small chance of catching it outdoors. The indoor weights training sessions are a bit more concerning.

Even his first year was fine for the most part. 3 years of that would've been palatable.
