On SEN this morning they were saying that there is going to be a $2.50 deal for members so perhaps hold off and wait and see if that is the case.

You can pay month to month so cancel it if nothing is happening.

I don't know what they are doing.
But if it was my club i'd be telling them, if they need supplies from the shops or whatever, that we'll take care of it for you. That would put them and their household in an immediate lower risk category.

So you'd have a group of guys, who mainly only contact each other.
Main risk would come from getting it from a friend or family member outside the club and introducing it to the rest of the playing group.
Like any other workplace, its a chance one could get infected and a group they associate closely to from being exposed.

No different to anyone else in a workplace. Much lower risk than someone working in a hospital or supermarket.

then once a week 20 of them are exposed, for a brief amount of time to 20 others in a similar situation.

I really can't see the extra risk, i would think that the AFL could keep their players in a lower risk than the general population.
Any of them catching public transport?

We often have the flu or a bug go through an afl club, its been blamed for lack of performance at times.
Saints had it last year in China.
Did Port players catch it from Saints?
I don't think i've ever heard of an infected club passing it to another club, but surely they have been contagious when playing.

I found an app for my Android phone Apower Mirror, and I can mirror the phone screen onto my Mac, so if you have Telstra mobile and can watch matches on the phone, then just watch it on a bigger screen(not the audio though)- not perfect, but free.

Bulldogs effort tonight is the softest I have seen an AFL team play in years. I have lost count of the amount of times they have fallen off half hearted tackles & pulled out of tough contests.

Both the games so far have been disappointing as spectacles. For all of Eddie crowing the other night that Collingwood versus

Western Bulldogs was the match of the round. Seriously Maguire should not be allowed near a microphone.

To be fair it was the most hyped match of the round. No one could of predicted the dogs would be that bad. Def the game I was looking forward to the most other than the saints.

It’s seems this pre season thread is coming to a close tomorrow.
it has given me endless hours of reading.
I don’t think anyone saw this coming with how we started the off season.
but, let’s all enjoy it while we can.

Seems like a line to me. Either it was decided he wasn’t in our best 22 atm or there is a little more to it.

More an observation than a theory, but if Jake's focus isn't quite 100% on his football then I for one totally support his non-inclusion.

Out of all the commentators Eddie is the one I just can't listen to just so fake and over the top

That's my issue with him- no matter who is playing he will always weave a collingwood reference in.

Otherwise he is very good imo
