Have at it boys and girls. Time to make ourselves look silly again.
For the record, last year we voted for a Top 8 of:
Collingwood
WCE
Richmond
Adelaide
GWS
Melb
Geel
Ess
So our prediction thread has gone:
2019: 6 of 8
2018: 5 of 8
2017: 6 of 8
2016: 5 of 8
So going by that trend, we're likely to pick at least 2 sides that will fail to make the 8, but more likely 3.
We did a bit better predicting the Tigers to make the finals and win it than we did with WC in 2018. And a few picked the Tigers for the flag.
A fair few of us picked Boak to win the B&F.
Despite a few good predictions in 2019, the clear winner was Willsy10 who nailed a stack of predictions, he had a very solid top 4, the premier, the brownlow, the B&F, the rising stars and the most improved. Please Willsy if you'd like to share any lotto numbers with us too that'd be great.
My predictions for 2020
1. GWS
2. West Coast
3. Richmond
4. Collingwood
5. Western Bulldogs
6. Brisbane
7. Essendon
8. Port Adelaide
9. Fremantle
10. Geelong
11. Hawthorn
12. North Melbourne
13. St Kilda
14. Melbourne
15. Sydney
16. Carlton
17. Adelaide
18. Gold Coast
** Note I feel like picking finishing positions between 7 and 17 is very tough.
GF & Premiers: GWS Vs Richmond - GWS Premiers
Brownlow: Marcus Bontompelli
Coleman: Tom Lynch
Power B&F: Dan Houston
Power AA’s: None
Power Most Improved: Sam Hayes, Todd Marshall
Power Rising Star Nominees: None
For some added fun.....
A Positive Story Line from the year:
- Round 7 and the wooden spoon could be decided already as the Crows lose to Gold Coast, and drop to last.
Negative Story Line for the year:
- Ken Hinkley is extended for 3 more years after Port make the Finals, finishing 8th.
