Lets see how anastacia responded to the heat over first denying a girl from seeing her 39 year old dying father and then from attending his funeral and comforting her younger sister.

1) play the victim card. im being bullied. How dare a man try and help a family by asking me to not employ my heartless ruling. Im the victim here.

2) deflection. I dont make rulings on border exceptions. I gave that to an unelected public servant. Public servants only give advice. You are the one supposed to make the ruling.

3) hiding. Doesnt show up to her own press conference and instead lets the public servant do it alone for the first time this year.

4) appeal to her own sacrifice. She has an uncle who died and She couldnt go to his funeral. Yes cos a 70 year old uncle at a funeral is completely the same as blocking a daughter from saying goodbye to her 39 year old father on his death bed.

5) appeal to lack of resources. we just dont have enough staff to process requests. umm you can hire staff. you are the effing government who makes all the rules. Plenty of unemployed people.

6) pretend this is really risky. "Funerals by definition are attended by old people so we cant take the risk". im sure the family would of been happy to block all old people from going if the guys daughter could go. All they had to do was ask the family.

7) reveal the actual truth and then act like you still made the right call. If you bring in money to the state you get exemptions. we dont care about people. We care about money.

Whats sickening is using the border lockdown as a politicial game to garner votes because polling showed it to be popular. The of course if you're part of the AFL or rich enough to bribe your way in, lockdown goes out the window.
