So long Jack Watts. May you forever be a cautionary tale of ‘Sure Thing’ #1 picks.

This has aged well..
A cautionary tale of chucking players in the deep end before they are ready, if he had been drafted at 15-20 he would have had at least a year probably two learning his trade in the VFL.

Would have been a better player then he was had he been selected by say Hawthorn....

And that's the biggest understatement of the century.

he hasnt even played a senior game an you want a 1st round? Get ya hand off it
He's contracted, and he's the best ruck on the list, we aren't packing his bags.

And more importantly, why is he being mentioned in this thread anyway.

cause he aint even getting a senior gig . why keep him on the n list? all clubs will have to delist players anyway depending on list sizes for next year
You just worry about your own list as you clearly have no ideas about Ports. Now run along

Schofield retiring means that Hurn, JJK and Brad Ebert are the only remaining players in the AFL to have been on our list prior to the 2008 draft. Hurn is the last survivor of the Judd/Cousins days.

Schofield's sole Brownlow vote was in the away win against Carlton in 2011.
