Zerk-Thatcher will definitely play round 1, but I doubt he scores well and I don’t think his JS will be great once Hooker is back.

He’ll play a lot of games across the year, but as a SuperCoach option, he won’t make a lot of coin and it’ll be a very slow burn.

8 possessions, 4 marks and 1 goal from 42% TOG round 1 - had flown under the radar a bit.

In. VFL he had a nice 8 game patch where he averaged 14 possessions, 5 marks including ~1 contested, kicked 13.12 over that span.

Mahoney will get some games with Turner out, but his limited speed and tank as a first year will hold him back from getting a heap of games. Most of the North board don't think he will be in round one.

Taylor will get a sustained run at it. Shaw loves him.

I'm actually thinking out of all the bench Rucks that DeKoning might get a go. He wasn't the worst for the Blues and they don't have many Big men playing.

TDK looks a good prospect, but once McKay comes back, I don’t see how he gets a look in (unless Casboult goes to the backline or McGovern is out)

If Kreuzer gets hurt, then I think Pittonet would come in instead.

Watched the Carlton reserves yesterday. Williamson was BOG easily. Had around 25-30 touches and used it well. Looked very good. Must be close to Rd One selection.

Pittonet & O'Brien the other standouts. Philp looks good and will play at some stage. SPS Cuningham were just okay

Hooker is still listed as 5-8 weeks away. He’s had no preseason. I doubt he plays before round 5. In any case, I’d be staggered if He replaced BZT. We are so thin down back. Perhaps once Ambrose is back also, but you are nearing rounds 7-8 by this stage anyway.
He is a big talent and should be playing.
I’m likely picking BZT unless Starcevic or Williamson get a round one gig.

My opinion has drastically changed. He’s in my team too.

Quite a productive weekend for rookies.

Zerk-Thatcher, Starcevic, Brander, Curtis Taylor solved a few problems in defense and forward. Noble looked efficient but slightly pricey.

If Starcevic gets named for Rd1 then Brander/Taylor are F5/6 with Rankine/Cameron on the bench.

D7/8 and M9 unknown until game day but happy enough with Robertson/ Budarick as M10/11.
