Max Gawn is closing in on becoming the second $800,000 player in KFC SuperCoach history.
Gawn set a new mark as the most-expensive ruckman in KFC SuperCoach when his price ballooned to $776,700 after a score of 185 against Hawthorn in Round 7.

The Melbourne captain has been on an incredible run since footy's resumption, averaging 165 points from Round 2-7.

With a break even of 124 for Round 8, when he will take on the combination of Stefan Martin and Oscar McInerney, Gawn needs to score about 160 points to become the second player - behind Jonathan Brown - to reach $800,000.

With Max MIA atm and many other rucks on the managed merry go round is there an argument out there for a 487k Nik Nat. Increased his PPM and minutes on ground against Geelong.
After a week off and Pitto/De Konig, Ceglar/Mcevoy, Jacobs/Mumford in the next 3 weeks with his bye done could he be the 'one's to jump on to ride into the finals?
Edit: With these compressed rounds I am a bit behind, must be some Sandra Sully in the water or something!
Looks like I was on the right track though with back to back 100s now. Still tempting at 520K odd...

Re NicNat: I can’t believe I endured this lazy campaigners crap all year yet the minute I trade him out he’s now hot property and trending upward. GAGF

So I bailed on Gawn this week, and now have a bizarre ruck setup of Grundy & Draper (covered by Cameron at R3) with Big O in the forward line. It's worked out like Christmas THIS week, but no doubt shall implode soon enough and I'll be looking at Gawn like Oliver Twist looks at a bowl of porridge.
