Injuries as at 17 March

Robbie Fox Ankle Test
Lance Franklin Knee 2-3 weeks
Lewis Melican Hamstring 1-2 weeks
Sam Reid Calf Test

Franklin is aiming to return round 3 while Reid has resumed full training but won't play round 1.

Other than that the list is in fairly healthy shape at this time.

If he averages 14 goals a game, he'll get the 1000 goal mark this year.

If we play lolNorf 14 times he'd definitely achieve it before the end.

3 months for Buddy. That means with the shortened season he might get around 4 games in this year.
Just in time for the finals then 👍

Buddy with a “knee”?! I assume that’s a typo?
Likely the Fox article made an error.

The more updated list is at the top of the thread.

Injuries are only going to get worse in the next few weeks with the players not having a proper preseason.

and no access to club trainers (having to do own strapping), medical facilities and medical team during isolation.

Do we have a disproportionate number of soft tissue injuries?

Could it also to do with the surface of Lake Side?

It's pretty crap to see any player out injured, and seeing a ex-player go down adds an extra sadness. Hope he pulls through.

Was really hoping that with the extended break, Franklin would be able to get himself just right over his previous injuries, then goes and does his other hammy.

So devastated for him.

Yikes.
Reid ????????

Reid ????????

I think Reid is playing limited minutes in the reserves and viewed as an outside chance. Probably technically should be listed as "test".

Though in Gardiner's interviews he seems to suggest that he might be a few weeks away from seniors and gradually increasing his reserve minutes.
