3 games to go and it's worth having a chat about this now.

I reckon Goldy & Luke are neck & neck now, with Jed & Tazz a few votes back from them.

Pick your top 5 places now, and we'll see how it plays out.

Personally, I can't separate Goldy (who is tiring now) and Luke (who is finishing hard). It's a tie for me.

1. Todd Goldstein
1. Luke McDonald
2. Jed Anderson (warrior)
3. Robbie Tarrant (ever reliable)
4. Jy Simpkin (started fast, but dropped off)
5. Trent Dumont (carried a heavy load against heavy odds)

Best debut player: Jack Mahony
Most courageous: Jed Anderson
Goal kicking: Cam Zurhaar*

*Cam could be the lowest recorded goal kicking winner since 1884 (H. Todd - 13)

Same 6 with two changes. I'd swap Dumont and Simpkin, and Goldy is clearly ahead of LMac, so:

1. Todd Goldstein
2. Luke McDonald
3. Jed Anderson
4. Robbie Tarrant
5. Trent Dumont
6. Jy Simpkin

Personally, I think LMac's stats are a bit deceiving because (for some reason) opposition teams tend to kick poorly at goal against us. The new rules count kick-outs as stats when prancing out of the goal square. Having said that, he's still had an improved season.

I'll be the 1st to go out on a limb and say that the winner will be:

1: Tarrant
2: Goldstein
3: Simpkin
4: McDonald
5: Anderson

Tricky for 5th as Jed has missed 2 games & Walker knocked himself out round-1. Dumont's consistency may even sneak him in. Atley has also had some strong games in the past 6 or so weeks.

1. Goldstein

3. Anderson
4. Simpkin
5. Tarrant

The top 10 will be rounded out by J. Walker, Dumont, Higgins, Atley and someone else in some order. I think it'll be incredibly close between the top 3 and wouldn't be at all surprised to see Lukey Mac win it - he's definitely a deserving recipient if so.

1. Luke McDonald (finishing faster than Goldie)
2. Todd Goldstein (you'd likely get a payout if you had him and Luke in the quinella)
3. Robbie Tarrant (total rock down back)
4. Jy Simpkin (was probably leading for a while but faded)
5. Jed Anderson (put together an excellent mid to late season stretch)
6. Trent Dumont (can't understand the hate from some corners....actually I can, it's the internet)
7. Shaun Higgins (played out of position but still very good)

Goal Kicking - Larkey & Zurhar tie on 15.

*shakes head*

Football has never been better, hey mate?
It's pretty sad that at half time against GC I was thinking "that's 4 goals and I'm not sure this team has got 6 in them for the match"

Maybe I've set it too high at 15?

I think CZ has 13 or 14 mate.
