Sorry KC. When it comes to mods and list management. I back in Filth

Hahaha.

I'll wear that one.

Well once again I just want the best return for us.

If we end up holding the Constaparcel at the end of a game of "pass the shit player" then hopefully you can bump this in 12 months when he looks like a gun.

Krazy Cats.Loading up with 30+ players. If Smith's in the door - are they still going after Higgins? Seems pretty desperate.
'Desperate' to win a flag? Yeah, isn't that kinda the point? They'll go very close again next year, much closer than we have for 20 years. This 'haha Geelong are old' narrative just seems ridiculous to me.

Yeh this is the team that just played in a grand final and have more 1st round picks than us right?

Losers.

Doubt he is gettable but I wouldn't mind having a crack at Christian Salem in exchange for Brown.

In our 24-28 year old age profile deficit, has a nice kick and is mates with LMac.

Restricted free agent next year I think.

Nahh he's alright but not damaging enough.

Problem we have with playing hardball though is that we need to be mindful of doing the right thing by Higgo as well.

After all we are the ones who told him that we wouldn't be extending his contract beyond next year so he was welcome to explore his options.

We therefore don't hold a lot of power in this situation I wouldn't have thought.
hmmm, he's contracted and signed that contract willingly. I doubt we'd play hard ball, but I do think telling him he's free to explore his options IS doing the right thing by him, and he has said himself, that he's open to a trade if its both mutually beneficial to he and the club. I guess that's what's occurring but no doubt there'll be some angst on BF regarding what is considered to be fair compensation for someone of Higgos quality as a player and person.

?????
196/4 = 49
In statistics, an outlier is a data point that differs significantly from other observations.[1][2] An outlier may be due to variability in the measurement or it may indicate experimental error; the latter are sometimes excluded from the data set.[3] An outlier can cause serious problems in statistical analyses.

Browns 8 goal year is a clear outlier, just like Danihers 65 goal year is also a clear outlier.

I dislike them but their kids get underrated because they also have a lot of star names. They always seem to bring 2-3 through each year.

Yeah, they squeezing them all into the salary cap by putting existing players on jobkeeper, backending their contracts, till the incoming new blokes retire.

Given their age profile, desperate to win one flag I'd say. Plenty tipped them to drop away this year but their experienced players stood tall while some of the other equally talented teams like GWS and WC squibbed it. Cats are far from guaranteed next year even with their additions. Time is ticking on them.

Agreed, but I don't think we'll tell him he is free to explore options and then play silly buggers with Geelong, unless the deal is stupidly off the mark.

Nekminnit AFL announce Higgins to Geelong for pick 126 in the Rookie draft

Just read that GWS would most likely receive 1st round compensation pick “likely pick 9” for losing Zac Williams to Carlton. If true, I’m assuming we’re pushed back to pick 10 for our second pick. Is that right? How does the AFL come to or even allow that?
It's probably the highest contract a free agent has ever signed

Unfortunately it's also the most recent. You can't call it an outlier until you know what he does in the next 2-3 years.
That's fair, but 9 games is also the least amount he has played in a single season. Even in his debut year he still kicked 18 goals from 11 games.

Fine choice.

*beams in Ben McKinley guernsey

So Smith moves to the Cats on a 2 year deal which was same deal as Hawks? For a player with premiership and bnf to want to move clubs, its strange for me.

Crack at a premiership?
