Grundy 900k
Treloar 900k
De Goey 750k
Adams 600k
Cox $550k
Stephenson $500k

No wonder their cap is fuuuuuuucked.
and then throw in pendles, Sidebottom, Darcy Moore, Howe would all be on good money

beams too

Seems crazy what is going on with Treloar, Stephenson and a few other players.
Most def. I'm going to wait and see what eventuates beforereacting too badly to it though. If you believe some of the 'journos' our TPP is getting 80% eaten up by about 8 blokes. The reported numbers increase by the day!. I don't doubt that there is some salary cap issues, but the truth will lie. somewhere inbetween. At the end of this period a lot of questions will be asked. And they'll be deflected as usual.

Young should be playing Round 1. Only reason he wasn't with us is because our half back line is second only to our midfield in terms of strength and depth. Really think we'll regret losing him but not much we can do when he won't be getting games until Wood retires

Yeah, I don't think we sold him with a pitch to come here and play in our VFL side, barring injury I can't see him not being in the round 1 team.

You do realise he had Glandular Fever and lost 10kgs without a pre season this year?
You do realise that he is soft and sleeps with the light on?

Glandular Fever doesn’t make you go out of your way to avoid contact in a contact sport. Being soft as shit is what does that.

No guarantees he ever repeats his first year. Teams have figured out he poops his pants when they ramp up the physicality.

How... Many... Times... does... this... need... to... be... repeated...?
Things change though... if we get a good offer you best believe we take it.

Adam Treloar has met with one of Collingwood’s Victorian rivals as he considers a trade, while North Melbourne is weighing up a bid for forward Jaidyn Stephenson.

Meanwhile, Jaidyn Stephenson’s management firm suggested on Monday he was likely to remain at Collingwood but he is expected to meet North Melbourne to at least assess what a move would look like.

The Roos have massive cap space and could afford his deal, which the Herald Sun revealed this month had been extended out to 2023.

He would also be a strong fit for the Roos given his pace on a wing or up forward at a club that has moved on half forward Mason Wood.

---

Collingwood was angry when told last Friday he might have to remain at the Pies given a lack of interest from all but the Dogs.

For all its attempts to clear cap space the Pies have not been able to find suitors for Jaidyn Stephenson, Tom Phillips and Mason Cox and have committed as much as $1.5 million in cap space to that trio next season.

It represents around 10 per cent of the club’s total cap, so clearing the Treloar contract would not only ease the strain, it would sidestep the disastrous prospect of him having to play with the Pies next year.

Underd for Stephenson or about right?
I want melbs 3 2nd round picks for brown haha. Give them a future 3rd in return.

I feel for Collingwood supporters, Stephenson was setting the house on fire a couple of years back and looked like he could be anything, they will look at him with his 2018 form and that would justify a top 5 pick. Sadly, the last couple of years have been bumpy and it is a really shit time to be looking to move him on.

My major concern is still his underlying health issues (same issues which caused him to slide somewhat in 2017), he has been through 3 pre-seasons and is 188cm and is only 78kg, does he have the capacity to get up to an AFL standard size and will he be able to play out games in any role other than a forward? I think having those question marks over his head while the club seems to be in firesale mode isn't going to attract a premium offer.

It is a shame the club is in this position, not good for fans of the game.

Meh if we can get him back to his best and it costs us Liam Anthony who cares about the pies fans...

I thought he was over the heart issues?

If we were to get 2 second rounders for Brown, I'd be in the camp that says give the lesser of them to the pies for stephenson and his salary. He's still very young, and he has a lot of potential upside.
I'm also prepared to concede that he may not reach his best again, but pick 33 is hardly a guaranteed 100 gamer.

Just offer Stephenson the ability to multi his salary and give him the odd power play every now and then.

this is a bloke that was kicking torps from 60m for his own personal multi - just put a bunch of triggers in his contract it will only bring out the best

Future 3rd for mine

Well, i don't care about Collingwood but I can still feel for Collingwood fans, it is similar shit to us having to see Brown depart and get a lot less because he has a crap 2020.

I have empathy. :p
