If we were at ground zero, sure. But we have a healthy group of youngsters already.... cream of the crop please.Trading out of the top two is insanity.
I'm with Snake_Baker - as a bottom-ager, Phillips was the equal of Rowell; we need an out and out midfield champion, and less a medium forward cum midfielder
I would, but I’m not sure Ned would pick up the phone.
I can kinda see that ...Funny how the rhetoric changes within the space of 10 minutes on the Pies board around Stephenson.
Apparently now he is a child molesting axe murderer with a part time job as an ice dealer in primary schools.
Getting Stephenson would just about put a line through Hollands - especially if we’re going to run him through the middle.Re: pick 2
He certainly fits a need from a list balance perspective.
We have plenty of quick and/or mercurial type half forward/wings: Zurhaar, Taylor, Thomas, Stephenson, Scott, Garner, Hall, Dumont, Polec...so unless Hollands is viewed as a midfield certainty, then I reckon he is a risk at pick 2.
We definitely need KPF's: Larkey & Comben, which suggests that McDonald or Tilthorpe are the priority.
We also need another out & out inside midfielder: Cunnington (29-30), Simpkin, LDU, Anderson, Tyson (dodgy calves)
Getting Stephenson would just about put a line through Hollands - especially if we’re going to run him through the middle.
So its Phillips or DGB with pick 2 for mine..
Might be a fine role model for my little gun slinging gangster mateFunny how the rhetoric changes within the space of 10 minutes on the Pies board around Stephenson.

And that's just on Tuesdays!Funny how the rhetoric changes within the space of 10 minutes on the Pies board around Stephenson.

Not if Holland’s is best available.
Pick 2 = Best Available.
So trade 11 for other picks, not pick 2.Glad someone agrees with me. #2 and #11 isn't enough. need at least 4 in the top 20
I don’t think they’ll enter the draft with Pick 2, I think clubs will offer options where they go in with two picks inside of 20 instead of the one
Um, we have two picks inside 20 now.NORTH MELBOURNE

Draft picks owned: 2, 11, 30, 39, 71, 82
David King says: “OK, they lose Brown and Higgins, but I really like where they’re at. I don’t think they’ll enter the draft with Pick 2, I think clubs will offer options where they go in with two picks inside of 20 instead of the one. It’s a really good opportunity to restart with some young talent. Stephenson has some wow factor ... everyone has been critical of the Kangaroos not being able to land their man, so a great result for the recruiting team.”
