Ralphy on Trading Day Show reckons it will be pick 31 and 33 for Brown.

Have another 5 stabs at it Ralphy, and you might get it right.

Cam was already on the senior list.

Nope, was a rookie for 2020, his contract would extent him to the senior list in 2021. We have 40 senior listed players excluding Zurhaar this year.

He also said we traded in Lewis Young on that trade day show, cutting edge stuff

"sounds like" :D

NONE of these clowns got NEAR this trade.

" Wonder if the Roos would then look to package up their draft points for the Dogs’ pick 14?"

Bigfooty.com posters trumped you AGAIN!

That's ok, at least the narrative is now changing from a single pick to multiple picks.

It has **** all effect on the schnozz mate, but it might back off the continual hand wringing around here.

Mahoney mentioned last week that players had been discussed with a deal for Brown. It could still be a possibility a player is packaged with one of their 2nd rounders. We have a lot of list spots to fill.

Also if we accumulate a few 2nd round picks (Higgins deal to come), I wouldn’t be surprised if we take them all to the draft rather than package them for a higher pick. Again we have a lot spots to fill and Brady does his finest work in that range. Currently after pick 25 it’s pick 70 odd. It might be a case of quantity over quality.

Geelong backs down in push for return draft pick from GWS Giants in Jeremy Cameron deal
Jeremy Cameron’s move to Geelong is edging closer after the Cats made a key concession in their dealings with the Giants. This is how the mega deal could get done.

Geelong has improved its offer to secure superstar forward Jeremy Cameron in a fresh effort to break the trade impasse with GWS Giants.

The Herald Sun has revealed the Cats contacted the Giants on Tuesday and dropped their request for a second-round pick back from GWS.

It means Geelong is prepared to trade pick No. 15 and No. 20 to GWS for Cameron without receiving anything extra back in the exchange.

It was a significant move from the Cats as pick No. 15 (1112 points) and No. 20 (912 points) are worth a combined 2024 draft value index points.

Those combined points are equivalent to pick four (2034 points) on the draft value index which Geelong believes is more than a reasonable offer for the 27-year-old.
But GWS could continue its hard line stance and ask the Cats to include their pick No. 13 instead of No. 20 or their future first-round selection as part of the trade.

If the Giants reject the latest offer, there is the chance the Cats keep the three first-round choices (No. 13, No. 15 and N. 20) and plan to welcome Cameron in the preseason draft.

Geelong has made clear to Cameron’s manager Alex McDonald its preference is to not go down the draft path but will consider it as a viable option over the next two days.

That way, the Cats could keep their strong hand in this year’s draft and potentially move up the order in a swap with Essendon and potentially take Cameron for nothing in the preseason draft.

The Cats are confident Essendon will not pick Cameron ahead of it in the preseason draft.

GWS has maintained a strong position on Cameron believing that the Cats should part with as many as three first-round choices for one of the best key forwards in the competition despite his poor form this year.

The Giants are adamant Cameron’s salary at Geelong, which is worth a reported $900,000 a season over as many as six years, shows that he is worth multiple early selections.

The Cats rang the managers of Charlie Constable, Nakia Cockatoo and Lachie Fogarty to assure them Geelong did not offer the players up to the Giants as part of the deal on wednesday.

Geelong, in its communication to GWS, told the Giants three players had notified the club they were exploring opportunities.

Cockatoo wants to move to Brisbane Lions, Fogarty is intent on heading to Carlton and Constable is open to any move for more AFL game time.

The Cats will nab North Melbourne veteran Shaun Higgins and have already jagged Hawthorn premiership hero Isaac Smith as a free agent.

not good for the higgins trade

Arbitrarily assigned points values are irrelevant because they’re numbers, not players.

Are they drugging people in the water supply or something?

For the 1000th time- UNLESS YOU ARE MATCHING BIDS OR TRADING TO A CLUB TRYING TO DODGE BIDS NO PICK IS EQUIVALENT TO ANYTHING BUT ITSELF.

Pick 1 is pick 1. Picks 4 and 5 are picks 4 and 5. They don't magically fuse into pick 1 when boiled into a plasma jelly.
