GWS won't lose Cameron ......but there is talk of Perryman being squeezed out, the same Perryman we put a bid on in his draft year

Playing excellent footy this year mid / HB
He'll be keen to come to the Wooden Spooner too NOT!

We're attracting no one any good for at least a couple of years unless they are from SA

If list sizes are reduced to say 38 as is the talk in here then what happens to our SANFL team .
At a guess, we will just need to rely more on our Development Squad + maybe SANFL will allow for a few more experienced players to be listed, to ensure the we (and Port) are competitive. In 2019, we had just one non-AFL-listed 'experienced' player (Matthew Wright).

Look ok the AFL just cut admin jobs while Gil was in his car and coaching pool is slashed. What gets hit last, if at all? The actual talent and rank and file.
the players are the asset. AFL has just cut two areas to keep assets.

I think the interview with Brouch basically said that if we are happy to keep him, he'll stay. Otherwise he'll go if we want pick 2.

If we don't get pick 2, he should be staying.

I still think he'll be good to train up the young mids and keep a bit of maturity in the team.

He'll be 27 next year and still has heaps to offer.

Why would Port want him anyway, they have 3x his player types and he'll want a substantial contract, don't see that happening..

Tex should be the one retiring and freeing up the salary cap (if we have issues with the cap).

That's what you should hope for most.

I'm the end, same people making decisions won't change the outcome much.
Who are you talking about?

I think Hamish and Reid are worth keeping, and the usual suspects of Roo, Fagan et al have nothing to do with these decisions.

We just need to get our facilities, resourcing and coaching staff right.

Yes an no.

Seems as though Wines has settled and is happy where he is. I don't know why they'd be pushing Wines out the door. On the other hand they have Ebert and Rockcliff who are getting pretty close to the end as well as (reportedly) plenty of room within their TTP.
Crouch is better than Wines - and Crouch and a first-round pick is a LOT better.

so the fireman as come out this morning and said we are keen on Fantasia — who is keen to come home. If we cough up a first round pick for a bloke who I think should be delisted, then I’m done. DONE.
Agree but if it was a back ended 2nd rounder i'd consider it. But no way on earth for a 1st as we have other far more pressing needs to spend that type of capital on

Kane is trying to stir the pot after seemingly being annoyed that Roo discussed a Dixon to the Brions trade

I just saw that he's only played 5 games this year. So I googled the phrase "Orazio Fantasia Injury"...

Wow... Grab a cup of coffee and a nice cosy rug, cause that's a hell of a lot of reading!

I jumped on the fantasia thread on the essendon board and i take back my back of 2nd round comment..they themselves are talking about 3rd rounder being enough to just take him..but he just cant get clear of injury and with our fitness crew we would have no chance fixing it for him..a hard pass please

But would Adrian Dodoro accept a 3rd rounder?

Given his injury history and lack of recent performance, a second-round is significant overs at this point. Even with junk coming back to even the trade. Dorodo goofed the timing of the trade, same with Joey. Their value has sharply fallen.

Yeah, I spent about 2 mins just trying to decipher what his current injury through the throng of Fantasia Injury articles.

Hip, quad, hamstring, abductor, hamstring, finger, hamstring, back, hamstring... In the end I just gave up, seems like he's a total a glass man to me. Not what you want from a speedy forward type.

I like Brad and I think we should resign him, but only for 3 years and at a salary that reflects his worth, not a Lever type offer but fair. If he wants more or unrealistic then that's another story. His body has been frail and under our current fitness group he is a risk on a long term contract.
