How many of those are 195cm CHB under age 28?

Yeah, he’d be good if we wanted our mids to get 10 - 12 touches a game.

Ha! Yea he wasn’t renowned for finding it as a junior, not sure if that’s changed in the year since.

Potential wise - tall mid, athletic, his clearance work was great as a junior. People projected that he was the ‘next’ Fyfe, Cripps, Bont etc - optimistic but still think he’ll be a good mid.

Is it worth going for someone like Poulter? Not sure of how quick he is or what his strengths are to know.

Or if we can jag a first rounder maybe take a punt on tbe injured Elijah Hollands?

Then our two F/S and NGA guys. Then a project KPP.

Sorry. This should have been in the Draft thread btw 😳

So what has Hately done that I’ve missed, apart from being south Australian?

*Extremely talented junior who has already shown plenty at AFL level.

*Excellent size, multiple strings to his bow and gettable.

*Also a prominent pick in what is turning out to be an unbelievable draft.

*He's not Ned McHenry

To be honest all those points look like they were written by his agent. In his 10 games thus far his disposal has been good and he has taken a few uncontested marks. Every other stat has been average or, mostly, well below average. Clearances, contested possessions, ranking points, metres gained, inside 50's, pressure acts.

I know he’s resigned with the suns but what about Brayden Fiorini
With there top draft picks and new additions he’s on the outer but he ranks in the elite for a lot of categories would add a bit of speed to the midfield might not cost to much

Will Brodie will be gettable and cheap too

due to the extreme number of talented midfielders Hatelely is playing purely on the wing, which to me doesnt look like his ideal position. But even then what he does do looks pretty accomplished, would love to see what he could do at AFL level in the centre but thats the reason why he is gettable. And with Taranto due back soon thats another in front of him, so he will drop down one more in the pecking order. Seems like a reasonable player to target if we think he's gettable (which i imagine he is, Coniglio, Taranto, Greene, Green, Whitfield & Hopper all get centre mid minutes in front of him and they arent retiring anytime soon).

The wing has always been hately’s natural position.

That doesn’t mean he can’t go on to be an inside mid at some time, but he’s definitely played more wing in the years that I’ve watched him.

if he was boaks height instead of 190cm I reckon people would be less inclined to keep insisting he’s an inside mid being played out of position.
