I’ll go so far as to say anyone that was brought up near and played for Sandy in any league or team is home at St.Kilda and should be designated to the saints.
There I said it.

If that was the case...

Taranto and Caldwell for two firsts and Carlisle....

Ha, I know it wont happen, but I can dream

I reckon that's more than overs. 2 firsts should get Taranto and Caldy, Carlisle would be free.

Pick 18 + 18 for Tim and Jye.

Remember after academy, father/sons and all that AFL BS. Those picks will be mid 20s.

If GWS were entertaining a trade for Taranto (which doesn't make sense) they would expect a decent player back in return, like Billings or Gresham. They'd be stupid to just accept draft picks or a player over 28.

Salary dump doesn't make sense either - there would be other players they'd let go before Taranto.

you’ve won one finals match...who is wearing rose coloured glasses...don’t get ahead yourself

Hey, at least we’ve got something to “get ahead of ourselves“ about.

It’s irrelevant because gws would never let it happen. Recon though it’d be around right given how much gws would hate losing the pair and TT is contracted. Aka, we’d pay overs

2 firsts with a second back is right for Taranto. A second is about right for Caldy. I reckon that's a pretty neat trade if we just don't take a second back. They can have D Mac if they want.

That's more Dodo style. Clubs usually don't force a player to go where they don't want to and most accept fair value.

Maybe if we had decent first round picks.

Pick 17 this year isn't that enticing

You'd expect us to have a good year next year if we can land them so they'd be predicting that to also be a late pick.

We wouldn’t be allowed to take a seat armed with a couple of late firsts

They wouldnt be able to afford the approx 700k Billings is on or the 650k Gresh is on.
