Just looking into Crouch, he's a guy that regularly gets over 30 possessions. He also won Adelaide's b and f in 2019. Missed 2018 with a groin and a bit of this year with hamstring. When on the park he finds it and can be damaging. Looks like a good tackler. He also has huge games, has gone over 40 on a few occasions.

Seems the type of player we haven't had for years. I'm salivating at the thought of him in our midfield.

Yep, good tackle and CP numbers as well. Likley to play the inside accumulator type role that Seb played for us 2017 - 2019, but an upgrade in that role in all the stats that matter.

Hypothetically if Adelaide don't receive pick 2 and gets a end of first round selection for Crouch, could we do a gentlemen's agreement by having Adelaide agree to the compensation pick (around 20). Adelaide trade that compo pick and one of their picks, say 29, for our pick 15 and Dunstan. Then we trade that compo pick (20) for Caldwell.

Adelaide has a little win moving up the draft order slightly. St.Kilda gets back in the draft with the pick 29 or 30 who otherwise would have only had pick 58 left.

Or push your luck and trade that pick 30 for Caldwell and keep that compo pick. Although I wouldn't have thought pick 30 gets it done for Caldwell.
Gentleman’s agreement. Any paper trail of that and it’s draft tampering!

Listening to the 5 minute grab on MMM SA, I think he was ok. His 'surprise' and and the some of the comments he made came across more as 'playing dumb' while trying to keep the two hosts involved in the discussion. It was pretty light hearted and there was nothing really disrespectful there.
What was there to “play dumb” about?
Jarmen and Vince already had the news.

surely it would of sounded better if he said:

“The saints have been after a good midfielder and I think they have one in Crouch”

but to be surprised....do you honestly think he would of chosen that tact had it been Geelong or Collingwood?

again, you blokes like to leave him running around without a leash. Speakers volumes about how it’s gone so wrong in 3 years.

Serious? So easy to get around. Saints front end 4 x 800k and 350k on the 5th, later in the week Dunstan nom's the Crows for a trade and we get a late second.

Done.

How’s Tom Browne tweeting that we’re not out of the race for Caldwell today, and then going live tonight and saying that getting Crouch narrows the Caldwell race to GWS & Essendon...
Can’t last 12 hours without conflicting himself

If tom browne had a dollar for everytime he was utterly wrong... well his mummy and daddy wouldn't have needed all of their money to get him his job in the first place.

Mmmm my favourite flavour.

Reduced sodium, but still lightly salted.
Not salted at all mate. Just a fact no one stays up forever. Enjoy it it's a great feeling to see your club doing well especially when you've earned it.

I like the Saints. Not showboating flogs and supporters are generally pretty good. Be more than happy to see them take the place of Richmond or Geelong etc.

No I was being more tongue in cheek. Technically, yes if you arranged a club accepting FA offer based on this or that trade happening subsequently it could get you into strife. But it’s way too hard to trace if deals are equitable, and many clubs would have done it. I have no issue with the deal that was Written.

Free agency compo formula uses the total value of the guaranteed money of the whole contract.

Front/backloading and any performance bonuses or optional trigger years don't get counted

You watch Crouch’s highlights and the mechanics are there to be a good ball user by foot.
I remember listening to one of our players say that Ratts had really encouraged players to take the right option and back their skills which has improved our efficiency as a team.
Our foot skills under Ratts, compared to them under Richo are polar opposite.
Here’s hoping he can have the same impact on Crouch

I think it might be a case of hanners playing less games.

Ross was a shut down player for us in the 2nd half of 2020. Crouch sint coming in as a shut down player.

Hes coming in as a inside mid to win his own ball.

I think ross still has a starting place in that midfield as a stopper.

Hanners is the one who I think will be pushed out from the inside and will play more wing.
Happy with that totally.
Billings forward and Hanners on wing where he won't be as beaten up and use his foot skills to move to ball forward. Niiiice.

Lol. Wow.

Did not realise you had put it together. No offence intended.

but wow. I’m past it mate, just laughing at who might be angry about a comment such as that.

It’s all good mate lol

I’ve just had to repeat myself too many times.

Would be great if everyone could appreciate the time and effort put into making highlights for players of all clubs instead of trying to find a negative in everything- but hey, I get that you can’t please everyone and this is just the best that I can do given I’ve received copyright infringements in the past due to AFL’s audio detection.
