People say the AFL fishbowl of Melbourne is bad.

I don’t think I have ever heard someone get interviewed whereby the interviewer is demanding the club don’t accept anything less then a certain return.

I thought the list manager for the crows did an okay job answering. He pretty much said they have an idea of the offer - just not 100% on what it totally entails.

I don’t think they match. If they do, your effectively needing to mend bridges.

Its lose lose for Adelaide, have to pay more than they would have to keep him or lose him for less than they have told their fans that he’s worth.

Welcome to the club, L Parker.

I'll have what she's having!

Cost hypothetically?
Our first would get parker done if the swans wanted to supercharge their rebuild?
(He's an RFA next year apparently?)

That’s true but I think the AFL would be equally, if not more worried, about North Melbourne who have the next pick. With the number one talent going to the doggies for free, they are already starting from behind the blocks. Adelaide have proven themselves to be historically poor list managers (from Kurt Tippet all the way to Bryce Gibbs) and played in a GF not that long ago therefore I don’t think the AFL will go out of their way to do Adelaide any favours. Pick 1 is reward enough for a shi* year.

AFL don't give a shit about North.

If North win 2-4 games next year the push to relocate them to Tassie will be close to irresistible for the commission. It's a perfect storm - Promise higher revenue, carry the colours/history of the club, get give a stack of draft concessions and a plie of support form the league to make it work.

Future second?
We are usually pretty good helping players get where they want for minimal fuss. Future second feels pretty light other than the games he missed after the head injury he hasn’t missed much football

Ideally I think we’d prefer Higgins and our second for pick 15

Obviously you guys wouldn’t I’m sure it will work out with something both can feel is fair

Which is why I’ve been banging on about choose a path.

If they are rebuilding. Take the pick and move on.

Good chance that pick plays 100 games for them. Which is a bigger contribution then Crouch games wise.

Free agency compensation wasn’t designed to be fair. It was to ensure you weren’t being left empty handed. In this case, that pick should be more valuable then the contribution of Crouch over the next 5 years of a rebuild.

dealing wit tigers supporters is like chalk and cheese with adelaide

richmond supporters seem to be very realistic in terms of trade value and tbh pretty damn fair
our history recently is allowing guys who want to go for senior opportunity to go very easily. has a very good result with culture - i mean, brandon ellis was partying wit de boys after the flag this year, in the hub hotel.

i do think they'll chase a second late first, or a very early second, though. we need some young talent to top up after losing hig, likely one of broad and markov, and the likely retirements of cotchin, riewoldt and houli in the next 1-3 years.

By the way, part III should start soon.

It's actually totally pathetic that you look up Jack Higgins, then open an article about his future and in there is embedded the video of his girlfriend complaining about the dogs click baiting to another article.

I despise that kind of journalism and probably shouldn't have given Channel 7 the click.

from richmond's perspective they want to move a guy who wants more senior oppor., it's just how its worked the last few year with lloydy, concs, snippa miles, buts et al.

but we're also starting to need another young tall, and hig is 21 and has exposed really good form. not pulling the "first round pick so give us one back lol" stunt however.

15 alone does not cut it, but with a few seconds going back your way i think it's realistic. you could also just say flat out now, and go get a second rounder to exchange, which probably works as well.
Can you blokes get Rance out of retirement, for next season and we will take Noah Balta off you blokes next trade period.

I like what we are doing so so far,

Crouch nominating us tells me they will get it done. Best of the mids available this year in my opinion.
Higgins to St Kilda excellent.

I actually marvel at Richmonds ability to have so many "good" small forwards. Butler, Higgins, Aarts, Roili, Bolton and Castagna. All are very capable. Any two of those get a game at any other club.

Still got a number of players on our own list we want to move on which means we'll be looking at other players.

Our first pick hasn't been mentioned as part of these trades!

Bring on Friday....

as far as price goes, probably a second rounder gets it done, maybe with a saints-favoured third round pick swap in there too. but you guys haven't a second or third, so maybe:

richmond get: pick 15, pick 55
st kilda get: J. Higgins, pick 32, future 2nd round.

Doubt we have 15 probably out West.

Haha hero. Righto legend. I'm allowed to have an opinion after seeing that pathetic video. Now I'm a sexist because of it? Embarrassing

Calling a woman a mutt & then asking how it is sexist is very embarrassing.

I’m hearing Aaron H and Fraser G and we might be pulling a former coach out of retirement too if he gives a rat’s tossbag about us.
