Exactly, if Lonie gets pushed out it's becasue Gresham/JB are spending more time forward… Lonie has more runs on the board as an actual goal threat than Higgins at this stage so I wouldn't expect him to come in for that role.

I don't see us backing out of the Crouch deal even if they match. It's not a good look for future deals if we dump and run.

There is no opportunity for a trade to be worked out once a free agent bid has been lodged and matched.

Any trade would need to be thrashed out before any bid was lodged.

If we lodge a formal RFA bid for brad, that means the door is closed on a trade occuring.
From that point, the crows have i think 2 days to match or not.
If they do match, the only option brad has is to stay at the crows or enter the draft.

What do think of old mate Richo not selecting Dan in the AA team?

I can only imagine two reasons. One, Richo wanted Dusty in at any cost. Two, it would look bad for Richmond if Butler made AA as soon as he got the boot from there.

Either way Butler deserved to be in over anyone, and Richo, Darc and the rest have lost all credibility and come across as a bunch of corrupt muppets.

A sad reason for playing for the big clubs, one gets protected by their media mates and gifted all the undeserved bonuses that come with awards.

He’s never been a good athlete and truthfully was only ever good (2016 and to a lesser degree 2017) when he had the likes of Kennedy and Hannerby who took the major attention so he ran wild.

I’m sure he’s a great leader etc.. but if we get him we will sh*t on him worse then we do Seb Ross.

Reputation aside Gresham for all him flaws will be a better midfielder than him next year even with his loopy kicks.

I’m sure he has admirers and all but hard ******* pass.

Strange take. Parker is 28 so I’m not overly keen to sell the farm for him, but he’s an absolute gun. 16 and 15 brownlow votes in the last two years, in sides that have missed finals. He’s been an excellent player for a long time. Very good clearance and contested ball player. Would easily be a top 3 player for us.

I’m not a big fan of Higgins however what he has over Lonie is he can play multiple positions & is better one on one. Lonie is a bit of a one trick pony. Can play small fwd but too small to run through the midfield.
