Surely no one is getting worked up about a scratch match that only had a couple of players ranked 30 plus on our list?

It’s a little concerning that in year 5 of a rebuild we can only manage 1 goal in a match, against an opposition most on this board were still calling crap, despite beating us easy.
I have seen the players the Saints had, older, more experienced, but not part of the future, which goes a long way to explaining why they would beat us, but to just manage 1 goal, is a concern.

LOB is a 1st round pick in his 3rd year, Stocker a 1st round pick in his 2nd, Kennedy a 1st round pick in his 4th, Lang a 1st round pick, TDK supposedly a promising player, Polson who is on the extended bench this week, Moore who has been around a while.

Just a bit concerned with, just one goal and what it says about our chances for our first team this year, also the grounds are smaller for these matches, not that I would think that would matter too much.

On the scratch match point, DT just said we will be playing the Saints again next weekend. Apparently that’s the only team we’re currently allowed to play in scratch matches as we were on the flight up with them. They weren’t keen on a game this weekend. So let’s see if we can get a better result, not that the final score matters too much.

interesting people name players from other clubs who have come on faster than our blokes, yet there's a hundred other players who haven't.........

It's probably about figuring out the ratio of players who have come on vs those who haven't at each club.

yeah

Did not realise how much of a beast Kemp was, looking forward to him having a run in the seniors next year.
he’d be around 12 months into his knee recovery, yeah?
Pretty close to one year ago to the day - did his knee on 20 July 2019.

Russell seems very happy with his progress but, as the club have stated, it’s very unlikely we see him this year. Can’t wait to see him next year.

That's some great range of motion in his left ankle.

Yeah, as Russell said in a recent interview, having the enforced time off from playing can be a positive for a young player as they get to understand their body, how to train it and how to look after it. He is going to be a fantastic athlete, and you would think that Kennedy's current spot is one that he would have his eye on for next year.

Wow...can’t believe how lean he looks. Last photo I saw he seemed to be carrying some excess weight. Remarkable effort. Can’t wait to see him in action.

Have only seen the draft night highlights package of Kemp, so confess to not knowing exactly where he plays. I know he’s listed as the old-fashioned “Utility,” so perhaps he doesn’t have a specialised position.
By the look of that photo he looks is great shape though.

Supposedly played forward and back, but expected to be a midfielder long term. So yeah, utility covers it.
