At the beginning of the tournament, dont think too many knew what the rules were. No one would have predicted rain in Sydney, no one would have predicted a situation like this based on previous womens world cups.

Administrators will be better for the experience.

No one would have predicted rain in Sydney? Lol, if that’s the case they don’t know Sydney. But playing both semi finals at the same venue is just madness for an outdoor sport affected by weather.

The point Im trying to imply is the next world cup the administrators won't make the same mistake of not having a reserve day in place for a final or semi final.

Its a lesson learned for all.

Yet apparently they dont have one for the men’s T20 World Cup either and that’s in Sydney too...

The 50 over World Cup already does, hence why NZ made the final last year and not India

Minor detail but there is a reserve day for the final. Won't be required though, gonna be a beautiful Sunday night in the sporting capital.

Despite your whinge we've barely had many days of rain this year, yeah sure unfortunate that one game was affected, but the other one was completed.

Sunday's final is the dream final though. Keen to see how close they go to filling the MCG. I think they'll get around 80,000 which would still be a great turnout.

3 T20 finals, be less than 40 overs bowled between the lot including one abandoned. Yeah never rains, just when the cricket is On. Then there’s last year test which gives people the excuse that India only won 2-1...

We are in a huge drought it's unlucky jeez. Barely rained all year long. It's cricket, it's an outdoor sport.

It's the final the organisers would have wanted. Indian fans flock to the ground, and you want the home team in it.

Then we use the rain rules, oh wait, England still win!!!

Better than the boundary rule at least.

You are forgetting that your England side got smacked by SA, it's not a great side this time round. Openers were awful, and you have like 2 bowlers. If anything not making the final is a good thing.

Have to pull you up on this.

Over 500mm and 30 odd days of rain in Jan and Feb for Sydney.

That is a fair bit.

Nothing before then though. We've just come off the fire season which was hot, windy conditions with little rain around. We've had some rain in January, a pleasant surprise, needed some cooler conditions. That amount of rain is lopsided though, we would have got the most of it a weekend ago, where we got a downpour. If anything it's getting back to the norm, watch there be no rain for a few months now.

Btw I wonder what the result would've been tonight if Wolvaardt, South Africa's most technically correct batsman whose career SR is only 103, had batted ahead of a slogger intent on throwing her wicket away? Feels good to be on the right end of bad tactics for a change.

Who should she have batted ahead of? Their openers are good, Luus did well. Du Preez is a gun just missed out tonight.
