Winder is very skilful but I wouldn't compare him to Liam Ryan.

Being Captain Obvious for a moment, this is the hardest draft to guess in years. I reckon Snuff has the direction right though.

I like Knighmares later picks for us and where he sees our bids coming but I highly doubt that we’d go Cook over Chapman and Bruhn. Nothing against Cook, I like him but I think the other two might just be slightly better.

I know Callow's fitness base is not elite, but surely that is something that recruiters see as maluable?

Knightmare has us with Cook, Walker, Rosman and Western.
Has Neale going at 60 to West Coast

Fun fact, about 90% of KM's draft was pulled from Twomey's - including most of the names linked as later picks.

You mean fun opinion. I don't care for Knightmare's work myself, but coming on here to sledge him in a year in which you are not doing one yourself is a bit churlish.

I can summarise everyone else's too if you want?

I get power rankings, people getting to share their opinions of how they rate player's and the fun of seeing where they actually end up, but I never get the point of amatuer phantom drafts, unless your a journo with actual club contacts what's the point? that to me is the funny part of guys like nightmare waiting till all the journos have released their phantoms before he releases his, what is he waiting for?

Exactly why I'm not doing one. Any guess would just be using what actual journalists have heard, and claiming it as my own to make myself feel good. And with live trading, it's fairly pointless. If teams like Adelaide and Collingwood do make trades, the whole phantom can be thrown out the window.

I'd rather wait 5 years to see how my rankings hold up.

Any W.A. Journalist: Have you told interstate clubs that you don't want to leave Western Australia?
Logan McDonald: I have and I hope they take that on board. Personally I feel I'm not ready (to move) in my stage of life and I feel it would impact me.

God, that Perkins sounds like an absolute cabbage.
Imagine relying on a guy like that in a few years time if we were 2 goals down in the final quarter of a grand final and we needed leaders who are mentally strong to just take their game to another level and push us across the line.
He sounds like he’s weak as piss

With you and respect your view about predicting the draft. Not enough information on players period and clubs may very well be blind sided early as a result of bids and trading of picks. Basically it is unpredictable even from pick one. :thumbsu:

The club seems to priorities leadership qualities as much as anything else. In your opinion, what players would be considered "elite" in this category around our first pick? Or is that too hard of a thing to analyse with the lack of state carnivals etc this year?

Generally I love your work Paracleet, bit this smacks of the same attitude as the posters who don't ever do a training report then come on and bag out the people who do.

Chris25 I for one appreciate all the hard work you do year after year to provide us with a Fremantle based perspective on the draft. You are a legend in my eyes! :thumbsu:

don't nominate for the national draft then

Besides the draft tampering implications, I hope someone told him embracing discomfort gives the greatest opportunity for growth. Likewise, no discomfort = no growth and if you don't commit to being a footballer and start growing and expanding your horizons straight away, you'll likely be out of the system in 2 years.

I suppose the irony is Paracleet was actually defending the exact same thing you are saying here. Like all posters I agree and disagree with various things people say but KM and Chris both put effort beyond what the average poster puts in - do either deserve to be mocked/attacked?

I've loved Chris' insights this year, probably more than past years but I don't think his comments on KM are necessary. People are generally smart enough to work out when thoughts are "borrowed". I see a heap of posts I've made on here floating around the place without any credit - I don't feel the need to call people out about it - without having official roles in the AFL/media we are all reliant on information from others.

I do agree with this for the most part, I wasn't originally going to do a Phantom this year because what's the point? I hear murmurings of where the Tassie prospects could end up and that's about it.

But for people like myself who purely post their stuff on BigFooty, and aren't an already established name like Knightmare or Chris is on this board, a phantom draft means more traffic and more people asking questions and getting to know what the specific poster likes in players and why they think they'll go at each pick. Draft rankings are, imo, the most important part of the process and the best way to re-assess how well you did each year, but the average poster who only checks on the draft in October/November won't really care about the difference in my rankings compared to someone else's, because the average person only really cares who goes to their club.

So in short, amateur phantom drafts usually are a waste of time, they're a fun exercise, but in reality it's just a way for most people to discuss their rankings of players with a broader audience who is there purely to see who their club drafts

To put Archie Perkins’ request into context - Heath Chapman has a non-verbal disabled brother who he has an incredibly close bond with and I haven’t heard him say he needs to stay in WA. If there was ever a reason to make such a request that would be it.

I feel Essendon white board leak is intentional and they may not pick any of them..twomey predicts completely 3 different players from whiteboard. They will definitely pick henry over perkins as he may too soft.... so I feel cook will be available to us.

Yeah, has to be a setup.

Given the draft range Perkins is predicted to land, he's basically just said he will only play for Essendon, North Melbourne or Collingwood.

Like someone said earlier in this thread, that's not too dissimilar from McDonald saying he will only play for WCE or Freo.... and if he did that, there'd be outrage.
