Now we just need Riley Colborne who is 190cm at 17yo and is as fast as Joel Western to become a footballer not just an athlete and him plus Joel plus Walker plus Motlop is some serious speed injection around the ground in future years.

Some impressive stats by some of the Falcon boys in their smashing of Peel. Johnson and Chapman in particular should be promoted soon, but Logan Foley and Cory Rundle had good numbers. Rundle had 7 goals from 10 kicks!

Motlop being in the NGA is absolutely ridiculous but hey we'll take any advantage we can get
Exactly. Don’t be feeling bad about maximising any advantage we can Get. We have been screwed enough times. Are we 100% certain Motlop is in our NGA anyway? Haven’t seen him hanging out with Tendai or any talk about him from the club? Could he also be a F/S for port no?
Farmer and Motlop would be 2 nice small forward options in 2021!

If JUH and Quanor are genuine NGAs I'll ****ing take Motlop.

Motlop and Farmer next year. Walker and Western this year. Henry last year. We should definately have a crack at trading into the first round for DGB and MCDonald this year

McAdam and Colborne next year too, both have a lot to work with despite not being there right now

PSA footy: 11-goal Jesse Motlop the star as Aquinas thump Wesley by 134-points
Mitchell WoodcockThe West Australian

It was the Jesse Motlop show in the PSA today, as the son of former AFL star Daniel kicked a season-high 11 goals in Aquinas’ monster 134-point win over Wesley at Aquinas College.

Going into the game the small forward had 12 goals from four games, but he almost doubled that in four quarters in Aquinas’ 23.9 (147) to 1.7 (13) victory.

Aquinas’ ability to work out congestion through a series of quick handballs allowed them to find space and put pressure on Wesley’s defence, who were well led by tall defender Connor Fitzgerald.
But they simply had no answer for Motlop, who read the ball well and was able to use his incredible speed to take advantage of the smallest amount of space and kick easy goals with little pressure.

Motlop had four goals by half-time, thanks to the work of midfielder Damian Sinclair, Arden De Melo, Jackson Merillo, and Corey Warner, who seemed to bring his own ball, as they read the work of undersized ruckman Tom Dempsey well and worked the ball forward with intent.

Wesley lifted early in the second term and matched Aquinas’ intensity around the ball, but could not take advantage of some solid play on the scoreboard.

Once this effort saw them wear down, the flood gates opened, as Aquinas booted all five goals for the term to lead by 44 points at half-time.

Jesse Motlop (pictured) bagged 11 goals as Aquinas ran riot over Christ Church.

Motlop came out of the break like a man on a mission, kicking four more goals in the third term as Aquinas piled on the pain in a relentless showing of slick football.

Wesley just could not get the ball past halfway enough and when they did manage to get it forward, the ball came out too easily as their forwards were found too far behind the strong Aquinas defence.

Impressively, Aquinas never took their foot off the pedal as they continued to overrun the hard-working Wesley, who just struggled for composure with ball in hand.

And Motlop continued on his merry way, kicking three more goals in the final term to finish with a monster haul and now 23 goals in just five games.

Aquinas 4.1, 9.2, 16.7 23.9, 147

Wesley 1.4, 1.6, 1.6, 1.7, 13

Goals – Aquinas: J Motlop 11 S Connor 3 M Sellwood 2 C Vinicombe 2 D Sinclair A Decke T Settineri T Foss F Neeson. Wesley: R Sprigg.

Best – Aquinas: J Motlop C Warner S Connor J Merillo M Sellwood T Dempsey. Wesley: R Sprigg A Jones J Chadwick A Luers C Fitzgerald.
Not enough forward pressure from Motlop

.Yeah next year's crop, sure sounds exciting albeit still early days.
That said I agree trading into this year's first for another top 10 pick to hopefully grab a trew or
O'driscoll on top of McDonald or if not barrass

Just on Aish, he hasn't played more than 15 games since the first year of his career. He averages 13/14 games a season. He isn't durable either.

Conca was fairly injury prone as well. But got a full season out of him last year. If we manage to get a full season from Aish than clearly freo s+c team better than richmond and collingwood.

Thanks guys :thumbsu:

What kind of standard is that PSA compared where Motlop kicked 11 goals? How far behind WAFL colts would it be?
From my very limited understanding, the top few schools are basically WAFL level but it falls away very quickly.

No one without serious talent is kicking 11 goals as an under anger though

From The West
Keanu Haddow

Talk about a captain’s performance.
East Fremantle skipper Keanu Haddow stood tall down back in an important performance.
Haddow reads the play so well and took a heap of intercept marks to steer his team get out of danger several times.

The Dockers Next Generation Academy prospect finished with a game-high 28 possessions and eight marks, combining with speedster Brandon Walker brilliantly.

His kicking was the only knock of Haddow’s game, but that got better in the second half.

Brandon Walker
The Fremantle Next Generation Academy talent just oozes class with ball in hand.

East Fremantle look a much better side with Walker streaming off half-back.

He’s got terrific pace and evasive skills and, aside from a brief period in the third term, hit pretty much every target by foot.

Walker started the season in the midfield but has since been moved to the back-line, where he looks right at home.

He put up some good numbers, 22 touches and a third-quarter goal, and looks the most likely of the Sharks colts squad to break into the league side.

Going to be interesting to see where he gets bid on. Elite kick and speed are two very in demand qualities for AFL sides

Thanks for sharing. Do you think Haddow is any chance of being drafted?

A bit, but Aquinas is quite strong this year, Wesley not so much.
To kick 11 goals is a fair effort, but i'd be more impressed if it was against Scotch, Hale, Aquinas, CCGS or Guildford
Wesley is the home of Buddy & Ben Cousins, but unfortunately that was a long time ago.
