Somebody told me all the domestic fixtures are going to be released this week. Will they be?

And what about the BBL draft… has anything actually changed in 12 months to make it a more manageable and necessary initiative?

If not, are there any other fresh new ideas that need to be canned? The X-Factor sub rule added nothing imo. I would only use Bash Boost points as a tie-breaker replacement for Net Run Rate. And the Power Surge… is fine, I suppose.

Also, I assume the final will be Sunday Feb 6, in the midst of New Zealand’s white ball tour.

Power Surge is good but can the other two

pPower surge is good in theory BUT there needs to be caps on it. Shouldn't be used in the last 4 overs. Hate the other two although the Bash Boos Point was funny seeing teams go for it and lose the game in the end

Sounds like it's been back-and-forth the whole time about the draft with regards to whether it should even happen.

Every cricket.com.au article just keeps trotting out a variation of: "BBL officials yet to finalise plans for a draft, contracting embargo in the meantime."

Keep Power Surge
Get rid of Bash Boost
Don't really care about the X-factor, could probably make it that you can make the substitute whenever, as long as they've only bowled an over or haven't batted

Not so, the final shall be "just days before" that series begins on Jan 30.

Starting on the first weekend of December to avoid finishing in February, very much a pick-your-poison scenario. But this is definitely what Channel 7 want (or, what they think they want... though it'll just lead to little Lewis throwing another temper tantrum).

Or Moe...
I'd rather the G but at least that takes a game to regional Vic. Having games at Junction accomplishes nothing, harder to get to, only 10k people can get in and its not even our home ground.

It appeases Channel 7 who don't want games at regional venues like that.

Draft canned... again.

Up to seven games clashing with an Ashes Test.

Christmas Eve game returns.

And 8 "mega days" wherein a BBL TV double-header begins immediately after the day's play of Test cricket.
