What makes Leeds an attractive destination over Everton, Southampton and Leicester?

Everton and Leicester maybe but surely you are joshing with Southampton
Just a nothing, battling club always punching above their weight

Hope they go down next season actually. They offer nothing to the Top Flight

Always developing good players and playing good football. He could play beside Ward-Prouse, a better CM than Leeds have had in 30 years.

You answered your own question, game time.....

The above have how many good central midfielders at the moment? He would walk into a #8 role if he was half decent.

Phillips and Aaronson should be half decent players to partner.

And surely you are having a laugh about JWP? Being a great dead ball specialist doesn't make you a great central midfielder.

If he prioritises game time then he's best off staying at Forest on loan where he is guaranteed 90 minutes every week under a manager who has faith in him. Never said Ward-Prowse was a great central midfielder.

Still reckon Garner stays on loan at Forest or is recalled by United. We've just seen 2 CM's leave on free transfers so there is a spot in the team if he is good enough.

Congrats to Forest, I think they were in the relegation battle last season so to turn it around the way they have is amazing. My friend will be happy.

Only one game to go, the National League Play off final between Solihull Moors and Grimsby Town next weekend. The Moors have been on a strong run winning their last six, but the Mariners have been playing strongly as well.

If the Moors win they will enter the football league for the first time in their history, while Grimsby were relegated in 2021 and are seeking promotion at the first attempt.

Another strong performance from Garner. Wonder if Ten Hag wants him around the first team or whether he loans him back to Forest for Prem experience.
Wouldn't Garner want to be at the weaker club so he can get PL experience?

VAR ref Paul Tierney should be investigated for his role in absolutely cooking that playoff result. I was supporting Forest but Huddersfield were denied two stonewall penalties.

I suspect Tierney had quite a large wager on the outcome of that.
Having seen Tierney referee many times before I suspect it's more a case of incompetence than corruption.

The big question is, why does he keep getting games?

Hopefully he follows Moss into retirement

Once you've had a taste of regular senior football the last thing you need is to sit on the bench/stands for a year.

If Garner isn't going to get 25/30 starts for United, he's better off staying on loan. Forest would probably be ideal.

You would think so if the option is playing 38 games in the league for Forest or 10 games and 15 sub appearances for United. For the first time in a long time I trust the manager to make the right decision.

Definitely. If United don't end up buying another CM then he will have to stay as we only have two in the first team squad.

Happy to have Forest back. Another club with more major European honours than The Arsenal will never go astray.
Well done Forest, having a team back in the league who have won the title more recently than the tiny totts (not hard) will never go astray.
WTF was that ref/VAR thinking ?

You can always add Kante to it.

He's been a terrific player but a broken down 30+ year old is the last thing you need.

Dunno why United have an obsession with over the hill Chelsea mids. Matic, Mata, now Kante?

He seemed to recover and have a few good seasons with you but he hadn't scored a goal in half a season for Chelsea when he was signed.
Over the hill at 26 eh. His first 3 seasons with us were very good.

For the same reason, once you’ve had a taste of senior football you don’t want to be a loan boy.

Particularly when 3-4 clubs are willing to buy you.
