The bid on Farrar and Jordon is invalid as your two active bid slots are used on Duursma and Butters.

This rule is always confusing, so just to clarify; an active bid and leading bid are not the same thing. An active bid is the first activated bid made on a player and lasts until that player is either won via bidding process or traded. An opposition player bid is automatically classified as an active bid unless it is made in the 5 day period prior to trading opening up. If the opposition bid is the leading bid once trading opens, then it automatically becomes active.

An own player bid is generally inactive, unless the coach chooses to activate it. Each coach has two active bids slots.

So essentially, with two active bid slots filled you can only make an opposition bid on a player who already has an activated bid on them. That is, until one of the Butters or Duursma bidding is won or one them is traded, at which point an active bid slot will open up again and you can place an opposition player bid on an inactivated player again.
