Apparently saint recruiting team was in sa and are keen on him at 11.
As I understand it (and it's not my area of expertise!) it seems to depend on what Gold Coast do. If they take Andrew, you probably take Gibcus, which leaves NWM for Essendon and Sinn for Port Adelaide. If GC take Gibcus, then the Saints take NWM and Essendon possibly take Sinn, but someone else will slide depending where Andrew lands which could be a spanner in the works.

The whole middle part of the first round seems to be in flux. And of course, that's before you factor in live trading. If whoever Essendon is after isn't there at our pick we may trade back in the draft in exchange for another shot in the second round.

Is it just speculation that the Saints rate Gibcus higher than Nasiah, or is there inside word on it?

That was funny. The AFL were embarrassed and quickly shut that loophole.
Good times. Draft day on air commentators pretty much gave it a side look and played on - then when we traded back in went WTF?? :tongueoutv1:

But I think the over arching message has been mostly missed by keyboard warriors.

Don't piss off other Clubs recruiting teams playing silly buggers, you never know when you might need them.

Even if Andrew goes to GC I still see it as unlikely Gibcus falls to us.

If he does he's just too good to pass us if we keep that pick, otherwise I wouldn't be surprised to see a club give up a decent pick swap to get him.

In which case Gibcus would go to one of the clubs in between and someone else slides to your pick. it's all quite intriguing, the old butterfly effect.

If Gibcus falls GWS and Sydney especially would be lining up for a swap no idea what that would involve

Marcel Proust Ward is an elite runner and knows where to run, he can suit both inside and outside and seems pretty good forward of centre aswell. I'm a fan of him, would also take Johnson here at Hawthorn. Hobbs maybe, Rachele always a chance and we could trade up but doubt it.
