2021 AFL Draft

Well, we've seen the rear end of the 2020 trade and draft periods - now to move on to next year.

With our midfield something like Dad's Army, it would be fair to say that you'd expect that we'd be targeting either through, trade or the draft, midfielders, midfielders and more midfielders.

All going well, we won't unfortunately have access to the top shelf but this 2021 draft has plenty of depth and normally one or two decent types fall a bit anyway. Three second round picks should give us a good look at some decent players. The list compiled by afl.com.au below is of an early top 10 but there's a host of other names that are apparently showing terrific ability.

If any of those kids live up to early expectations .., id say they will be will out of our reach. Kids like Horne and Sonsie will be gone before we even turn on our PC.

Horne looks like a once in a generation selection. Had 31 disposals and 3 goals in an U18 game, then backed it up with 43 and 3 goals. Then played a handful of league games to top it off. He's a freak.

Almost worth tanking for if you are a bottom four contender!
