His kicking technique in space is fine. Seen him butcher a few but not often. It's more his dump kicks from stoppages that are sometimes a bit shallow. But you aren't picking him for his kicking. His natural football ability to be the one who wins it when it's in dispute is uncanny. This might seem like hyperbole, but there is Luke hodge in his stoppage ability. Like a midget hodge without the skills and overhead ability.
Damn Chopflop.
One more post like this and I will be fully onboard the Sheldrick train.

Is he our Kennedy replacement?

Sheldrick plus Anderson is plenty inside. For sure we will go outside x 2 or Outside plus KPD. Warner definitely outside.

Can see us going a difference mid next pick, then a bit of a Hail Mary at the 39

Thanks a lot for the link and the time stamps. Loved how clean he was in the clearance, seems to know where to be and the speed to go at in those packs.
That thread contains the disgusting allegation he is(was) a Hawks supporter.
Should the club appoint an investigator?

I had a look at Draft Central's top 40 power rankings. Of those players there seems to be about 18 (non aligned) players still available that were in their top 40.

Sonsie
Draper
Johnson
Goater
Butler
Knevett
Taylor
Roberts - inside mid
Motlop - small forward
Howes - wing
Williams - key forward
Conway - ruck
Clarke - small forward
Bazzo - defender
Macdonald - inside mid
Warner - mid
Murley - mid,small forward
Rankin - small forward

Then had a look at Foxfooty's top 50 power rankings. And there was another 11 non aligned players in addition to the ones already mentioned. Though there would also be players like Dittmar who did make either list who might also be in contention.

Willis - mid
Long - inside mid
Dean - defender
Curtis - forward
Avery - defender
Voss - half back
Soligo - mid
Browne - mid
Pegoraro - defender
Lord - half back
Cox - utility

If true perhaps they did us a favour.
Personally see a midfield bull as a greater need than a medium defender.
I'd have hoped we didn't just see him as a half back long term, write-ups suggested wing/outside potential as well. Another of these types would be great to add to a rotation of JMac, Lloyd, Blakey, Campbell etc off half back or on the wing (since we lost Dawson). Was keener on Chesser or Wilmot though (seemed to have more range), Brown wasn't particularly exciting. Anyway, I hope we'll just target an outside/winger (or hybrid like Warner) and a KPD with our two ND picks tonight.

Not according to several draft sites. They gave Anderson a pretty good wrap. His numbers are impressive and he rarely wastes the ball. He is also home town talent unlike the others who might get 'Dawson Disease'. So I would not miss out on Anderson under any circumstances.

He is hardly "home town", Sawtell is closer to Brisbane than Sydney and he has no allegiance to the Swans, family are massive Richmond fans.

Won't shy away that only Chesser really appealed to me of the ones there, with Port taking my number 1 one on my list (of realistic options).

In terms of tonight I'm not fussed if we don't add a KPD actually with Paddy McCartin coming in as a free pick.

I'd like a speedy wingman as one pick and then best available or take a Hail Mary on the other one. We can afford to be bold at one of these picks. We sort of took the safe, brute inside mid last night.

Enjoyed reading the West Coast boards melts, but they have got a gun player. Chesser will be a great pick up for them and a logical heir to Yeo.
It is some epic melting, but only goes to show the insular nature of Eagles fans. Chesser isn’t a mid from WA, so must be a dud pick.

PS: yes, I’m still happy as the proverbial Larry.
