But to pretend I want to stay on topic,

If we get Sonsie/Taylor at first and Bazzo on our second pick I'm more than happy. Though sounds like Kinnear isn't big on any of the talls this year besides Darcy.

I wouldn’t be completely shocked if we are happy with the McCartin pick in the Supplementary draft and reload for talls next year in a better draft for them.

I’d be happy with Taylor/Sonsie and a few others around that mark. Just no medium defenders and I’m happy

Thank you for changing the subject. I'd hate for our first argument as a married couple to be about Taylor Swift.

I am also a Taylor fan (though not as much as you and hairy biker it seems) and would be stoked if we got him with our first. He's just the kind I reckon who would complement our existing mids quite well, and if we got more of a big-bodied enforcer type like Dittmar or Dubai Quacker's pick Sheldrick later on, then that would pretty much complete our midfield stocks for a decade.

That said, it would seem there's too big of a gap talent-wise between Sonsie and the rest of the mids mentioned around our pick for us to pass him up. I think it would be a no-brainer to select Sonsie if he's there. I don't think he's just 'a gun', I think he could be something really special, and whoever gets him if he slides, would be akin to us managing to get Errol Gulden for pick 32 last year.

To be fair really from 20-50 you are basing a lot off gut feeling as these blokes haven’t played much. So personally I’m more interested in the types of players we draft- ideally no small forward or medium defenders. Anything else good enough for me

We have had a bad run with that name in recent decades - Elija, Lewis and Kevin (injury did not help) for starters.

However in the 50s we had a champion ruckman in Jim Taylor, so 70 years on we may be due another good one.

One trait I admired was his commitment and ability to completely nullify his opponent.

I expect we are going the Paddy route, which I support, but I hope Maibaum gets his chance.

Really liked Maibaum when we pickes him up. Just had set back after set back.
