Not according to several draft sites. They gave Anderson a pretty good wrap. His numbers are impressive and he rarely wastes the ball. He is also home town talent unlike the others who might get 'Dawson Disease'. So I would not miss out on Anderson under any circumstances.I assumed clubs had to bid on rookies too and we can match with our next pick. At least at some point if they survived the ND, we could just select them as Cat B rookies. Trying to find any actual detail on the pass/end of draft, or rookie draft is good fun...
I think there's going to be limited clubs taking players after 70, even when it moves.
Either way I don't want us to use ~39 on Anderson on the off chance someone bids after our last pick. Unless we're hiding something, there'll be others that are probably better options.
I don't want Brisbane to get Wilmot before us.
I just can't see the Eagles passing up on Erasmus.Eagles grabbing Chesser.
Would rather save our picks for next year given it will likely be a more known draft and also because we have academy players coming through that we need points for.
Current mood - Larry David.OK bring it on, I'm set to go, even got my reaction gifs ready to roll;

Cue us reaching for Bazzo. It'll be a nice off season basking in picking up a KPD, going against people's interpretations of Kinnear's media statements. Then when it turns out he's not the next Rance, Teddy Richards or Craig Bolton, I'll wash my hands of the whole thing.

Didn't Brown play for the Bushrangers? From Mooroopna

They all focus more on the positives though. They still say, after saying a bunch of good things, like Draft Central / Rookie Me, that he's rated as a late pick or rookie selection. I'd be very surprised if he gets bid on before 39, so I think our first 3 picks are safe. Based on available info, even if he is homegrown, he's either a match with 70, a rookie pick and no earlier. I'd consider matching with 39 but only if the club feel like he's worth it vs who else they could get. Again I don't think another club would risk it.Not according to several draft sites. Sounds like most of my school friendsAnd also Tom Mitchell, Harry Marsh, Jordan Lockyer
Speaking of, random anecdote, but I met Lockyer at uni once and we literally had a 20 minute chat about footy. He mentioned he fell out of contact with nearly all of the Swans boys once his time at the club was over, and said it happens quite often. Said that the bonds the players make as teammates is a weird one as in nearly all cases it's sort of a co-dependent product of the environment they're in, and once they're all out of it they realise they don't have much in common and aren't types who would be mates or even guys they'd like in their normal walks of life.
He was just a really friendly bloke and an open book. Seemed pretty chuffed to have someone recognise him too.
