Speaking of, random anecdote, but I met Lockyer at uni once and we literally had a 20 minute chat about footy. He mentioned he fell out of contact with nearly all of the Swans boys once his time at the club was over, and said it happens quite often. Said that the bonds the players make as teammates is a weird one as in nearly all cases it's sort of a co-dependent product of the environment they're in, and once they're all out of it they realise they don't have much in common and aren't types who would be mates or even guys they'd like in their normal walks of life.
He was just a really friendly bloke and an open book. Seemed pretty chuffed to have someone recognise him too.
