North beat us in 77 after the draw and in the night GF after the siren but always liked NorthNorth also largely irrelevant. At least I have witnessed an actual rivalry in my lifetime ( by that I mean finals).
I only recall one Collingwood Melbourne final in my life…. There might have been more but they knocked us out in a semi in 1988.
It's pretty early if they're going to be core players. It's taken until Oliver and Petracca are 24 and 25, which is a more realistic age. Will have to be lucky still to jag a couple that good. When our 2020 draftees will be 22, and nick will be 21..
Sounds about right.

Haha, hadn't seen that. It's such a privilege to wear the teal that they try and ditch it at every turn!I found this quote from the Port Adelaide skipper perplexing:
The "bitter disappointment" followed a similar letdown for Ken Hinkley's men last year, when they fell six points short of eventual premiers Richmond at the same stage of the season.
"We didn't play our brand of footy, didn't uphold the Port Adelaide identity," Jonas said after the Bulldogs mauling.
"It's a privilege to wear this guernsey and we just got well and truly outplayed.
"Two years in a row we've fallen short of where we want to be.
If it's such a goddamn privilege to wear it, why do you guys always push - every year - to wear the famous black and white? Get over yourselves. Your club isn't really clear what the "Port Adelaide identity" is, that's your problem!![]()
I reckon they're over achieving. Not enough midfield depth.Haha, hadn't seen that. It's such a privilege to wear the teal that they try and ditch it at every turn!
I feel like, as we are more than aware, having a president generate noise off-field can distract players, and I do wonder if Koch does that for Port.
Either way, under Hinkley they seem to fall short of expectations every year.
I agree to an extent. I like Amon, but they really need some of their young guys to come on as midfielders (Rozzee, Bergman, Jones and Drew, to name a few), otherwise they will be in trouble with Gray and Boak only getting older.I reckon they're over achieving. Not enough midfield depth.
I thought that they would win based on their performance against Geelong but they were badly exposed.
Wines
Boak
Gray
Not much after that

Given the Bulldogs only won 5 years ago I think I'm leaning towards Melbourne.
But I will probably chuck a 5er on Treloar for the Norm Smith. You can just imagine it.
Me too. You look at the players and Dogs should win easily, but I thought Ports pace and game style would do a number on them.I certainly got that one wrong.
While Dogs were great, Port were equally as pathetic.
Listless effort.
I love these Football stories…wish both could win…How’s Ben brown and treloar. Not wanted by their teams who subsequently finished 17th and 18th and now playing in a GF.
I once had the misfortune to watch a Queens Birthday game in the MCC.
Never again.
I was across the way in the Ponsford. Many beers were consumed after that game.I once has the good fortune of watching a Queens Birthday game in the MCC in 2018, with my Melbourne-supporting girlfriend at the time when they managed to get 83k in after Melbourne had won 6 on the bounce leading in ...
One of the best games I've attended live
