9 games at the G, 8 games at Marvel, 5 interstate games. Gotta be happy with that.

I'm personally happy that Carlton is playing twice in Sydney (I live here). I think there's a good chance we'll play a lot of dry weather footy in 2021 given the timing of the fixture. Good for our contested marking game.

What a stitch up. Freo and Gold Coast our "easy game" no North or Adelaid or Essendon, Pies and GWS our mid-tier double ups, each could be Top 4 if things go their way. And Port.. one of the top 3 sides of the year.

Yay. Love the way this always seems to happen to us.

If we are scared of Collingwood and GWS this year then we are going no where

If we can halve our 50-50 games and win all the must wins we should just about to get to 13 wins

Must wins: Gold Coast x2, Adelaide, NM, Freo home, Hawthorn & Essendon (7 out of 7)
50-50s: Brisbane home, Collingwood x2, Freo away, GWS x2, Melbourne, Port home, St Kilda, Sydney, WB (5-6 out of 11)
Very unlikely: Geelong, Port away, Richmond, WCE (0 out of 4)

Confirmed dates for Rnds 1 - 6 just released:-

After the first six rounds Carlton will face a further four Victorian sides in Essendon (MCG), Western Bulldogs (Marvel Stadium), Melbourne (MCG) and Hawthorn (MCG) before entering a stretch that will see the side travel to Sydney twice in a month to face the Swans and Giants respectively.

11 wins pencilled in.
4 probable losses based on strength of opposition and our knack for losing games against them
7 games that will then determine whether we make finals.

Of those, we've got a good record against the Bulldogs, and should split the two games with GWS (1 win, 1 loss). 13 wins should have us in the top eight.

If we go dropping games against Gold Coast, Freo, Sydney, Essendon, Adelaide etc. then we'll be needing to make up ground against West Coast, Geelong and Brisbane.

What a great draw.

Get GWS and Pies twice who are likely to be more vulnerable than in recent years. No Geel, Rich, West Coast or Bris twice - and play Lions/Eagles only in Vic and Geelong is our home game.

Travel is limited and a good run home except Port in Adelaide.

If we can't make finals on the back of that, we should be disappointed.

Collingwood game really becomes a key to our season. Get that win and we open the chances of going into Port at the G being 3-1. With that sort of positive momentum Port and Brisbane games in Melbourne and the season could be off to a bloody hot start!

I think all things considered, it is pretty good. We didn't get Richmond, WC, Brisbane or Geelong twice.
We didn't finish bottom 6 so we aren't in that bracket.
