I think we should have a membership tracker , similar to the one League-Unlimited has for its NRL clubs .

Will give people an idea of how excited a fan base is , and it is generally interesting to keep track of the figures.

Brisbane - 31,000 (March 17)

Carlton = 80,369 (as of April 14)

Collingwood = 71,000 (April 21)

Essendon = 70,233 (as of April 23)

Fremantle - 51577 (2020)

Geelong = 59,186

Gold Coast - 16,236 (2020)

GWS = "around" 25,000 (as of March 25)

Hawthorn = 70,059 (April 14)

Melbourne = 45,221 (April 23)

North Melbourne = 36,004 (April 23)

Richmond = 97,378 (April 23)

St Kilda = 50,000 (announced on April 8)

we've run one every year for a decade. We havent this year because most clubs arent giving the data.

I think most clubs aren’t running tallies because they’re declining.

Essendon are struggling and well down at 60,000, reflecting a disillusioned fanbase that’s lost trust in the direction of their club and poor levels of engagement post COVID cuts.

Hawthorn and Collingwood I believe are also struggling Vs previous membership totals in 2019.

Interesting to know what West Coast are on?

I'm pretty sure the Bulldogs passed 40,000 a few weeks ago, it was announced at our home game against the Eagles.

Geez 60,000 that is not looking good for the Dons compared to years gone by.

I doubt any club even big vic clubs that are performing poorly will do tallies.

WCE will be around the 80-90k mark no doubt.

Hard times. I remember we were over 60000 a couple of years back but some down years and covid will definitely hit those numbers hard.

I also remember when anything over 30000 was impressive for Sydney so it seems we’ve got a lot more "rusted on" supporters now.

The Blues are a sleeping giant. There's no way they don't hit 100k members if they can get a decent tilt at the flag in the next 3-4 years.
