Western Bulldogs AFLW Best and Fairest 2021
1st: Ellie Blackburn (72 votes)
2nd: Kirsty Lamb (63)
3rd: Isabel Huntington (51)
4th: Eleanor Brown (42)
5th: Bonnie Toogood (39)
6th: Brooke Lochland (33)
7th: Ashleigh Guest (28)
8th: Naomi Ferres (25)
9th: Katie Lynch (21)
10th: Jess Fitzgerald (19)

Blackburn joins Davey as players to win club B&Fs in both the league's inaugural and fifth season. Decent chance Kearney will also make that list next week.

North Melbourne AFLW Best and Fairest 2021
1st: Jasmine Garner (146 votes)
2nd: Emma Kearney (138 votes)
3rd: Ash Riddell (129 votes)
4th: Kaitlyn Ashmore (109 votes)
5th: Ellie Gavalas (107 votes)
6th: Jenna Bruton (106 votes)
7th: Emma King (101 votes)
8th: Aileen Gilroy (100 votes)
9th: Danielle Hardiman (95 votes)
10th: Tahlia Randall (90 votes)

A 1-2-3 repeat of 2020. Would've felt more appropriate if Garner got over the line by 1 vote this time because I think Kearney, like quite a few of the old-timers league-wide, had a career-best year.

Also, first top 5 finish at an AFLW club B&F for Kaitlyn Ashmore (though she did finish top 5 in the 2017 League B&F, perplexingly).

We will have to wait a little longer than Friday to solve the great mystery of Freo's B&F winner:

GWS Giants AFLW Best and Fairest 2021
1: Alyce Parker (94 votes)
2: Rebecca Beeson (67)
3: Cora Staunton (55)
4: Elle Bennetts (50)
5: Alicia Eva (43)
6: Tanya Hetherington (?)
=7: Georgia Garnett (29)
=7: Pepa Randall (29)
9: Britt Tully (22)
10: Emily Goodsir (20)

Parker becomes the Giants' first two-time winner, the last original AFLW club to have a player achieve that (though as a comparison, albeit a rather meaningless one, GWS never had the same winner twice on the men's side until Lachie Whitfield last year).

Adelaide AFLW Best and Fairest 2021
1st: Ebony Marinoff (265 votes)
2nd: Anne Hatchard (251)
3rd: Erin Phillips (233)
4th: Sarah Allan (227)
5th: Stevie-Lee Thompson (174)
6th: Chelsea Randall (162)
7th: Justine Mules (159)
8th: Najwa Allen (157)
9th: Marijana Rajcic (150)
10th: Ashleigh Woodland (139)

Marinoff wins her first club B&F. She has finished 3rd, 3rd, =3rd, 2nd and now 1st from 2017 onward. Sarah Allan (2nd, 8th, =5th and now 4th) and Justine Mules (10th, 5th, 3rd, and 7th) are the only other two Crows to feature in the top 10 for four-straight years.

Thompson (like Ashmore, who I've drawn comparisons with in the past) managed her first top 5 finish this year. Her previous best was 8th in '17, and worth mentioning she finished 10th in 2019 when she won the league goalkicking.

Melbourne AFLW Best and Fairest 2021
=1st: Tyla Hanks (64 votes)
=1st: Karen Paxman (64)
3rd: Lauren Pearce (57)
4th: Kate Hore (55)
5th: Lily Mithen (47)
=6th: Eden Zanker (46)
=6th: Shelley Heath (46)
8th: Shelley Scott (45)
9th: Maddison Gay (44)
10th: Tegan Cunningham (37)

Paxman (2nd, 3rd, 1st, somehow only 2nd, and now 1st) also continues her top-3 streak at Melbourne.

A strong showing from 23-and-unders Hanks, Mithen, Zanker and Heath as expected. Equally unsurprising is that Birch, who's in the same age bracket, missed the top 10 after finishing 5th in the past 3 seasons (including in a premiership year with the Dogs).

1st: Georgia Patrikios – 80 votes
2nd: Tyanna Smith – 49 votes
3rd: Cat Phillips – 39 votes
4th: Rhi Watt – 37 votes
5th: Tilly Lucas-Rodd – 34 votes
6th: Kate Shierlaw – 32 votes
7th: Hannah Priest – 30 votes
8th: Jayde Van Dyk – 26 votes
9th: Rosie Dillon – 24 votes
10th: Tarni White – 19 votes

A very dull sequel to last year's four-way tie. For those who don't recall, those four winners were Patrikios (first again this year), Dillon (9th), Vesely (nowhere, didn't play a game) and Greiser (status in question).

Fremantle AFLW Best & Fairest 2021
1st: Kiara Bowers (180 votes)
2nd: Stephanie Cain (140 votes)
3rd: Janelle Cuthbertson (116 votes)
4th: Gemma Houghton (115 votes)
5th: Hayley Miller (111 votes)
6th: Angelique Stannett (109 votes)
7th: Roxanne Roux (105 votes)
8th: Laura Pugh (104 votes)
9th: Ebony Antonio (102 votes)
10th: Sabreena Duffy (97 votes)

Second time Cain has picked up a top 4 finish. Can't think of a lower profile player to have managed it, and that includes a runner-up placing which Houghton is still yet to achieve (4th, 3rd and 4th in the last three years).

First time E. Antonio has missed the top 5 (4th, 1st, 5th, 2nd and now 9th).

And that closes out award season!
