Tall Defenders:- Cox, Hambling, Logue, Pearce
Medium Defenders:- Blakely, Conca, Duman, Huges, Ryan, Wilson, Young
Inside Mid:- Bewley, Brayshaw, Cerra, Fyfe, Giro, Mundy, Serong, Valente
Wing/Outside Mid:- Acres, Aish, Hill, Tucker
Small Forward:- Colyer, Crowden, Henry, Shultz, Switkowski, Walters
Med Forward:- Banfield (190), Frederick (183), Sturt (189)
Tall Forward:- Taberner
Ruck:- Darcy, Lobb

Walk Up start - 16

Possible - 8
Emergency - 2

I have tried to break down our list by roles. Perhaps some comments on the applicability of certain players to certain roles might change my preferred list. It does highlight, to me anyway, some real issues picking outside mids. I just don't have any imediate picks.
Where a couple are contending for a spot I have generally taken the youthfull option.
Depending on oppostion it's Conca vs Young and Aish vs Tucker
Nice idea.

I have the following as walk up starts; Logue, Aish and Tucker, plus Cox has a pretty compelling case.

Bewley isn’t an inside mid he is a wing. and for me he is a possible given how many games he is coming off in 2020.

I don’t quite get the logic of your possibles and your emergencies. All emergencies should be drawn from the possibles.

Watson should be on your list of medium defenders.

Roles are too broad:

Key Defenders: Hamling, Pearce
Intercept/3rd Tall: Cox, Logue, Ryan
Rebound Defenders: Duman, Wilson, Young, Hill
General Defenders: Blakely, Hughes, Conca, Watson

Inside Mid: Cerra, Fyfe, Mundy, Serong, Valente
Defensive Mid: Brayshaw, Tucker
Offensive Wing: Giro, Frederick
Defensive Wing: Bewley, Acres, Aish

Crumbing Forward: Henry, Walters
Pressure Forward: Colyer, Crowden, Shultz, Switkowski
Med Forward: Banfield, Sturt
Tall Forward: Taberner

Main Ruck: Darcy, Meek
Backup Ruck: Lobb

I’m liking this set up. I’d add a couple of comments which are really due to the youth on our list.
  • Sturt has a strong case for consideration. He has speed and skill, and plays forward, all weak areas for us. If we really are going to transform our forward line in the coming season he needs inclusion from the start.
  • Valente will be penciled in to replace Mundy. He isn’t a walk up start but he is someone the club should be fast tracking.
  • I respect the idea that Henry isn’t quite ready but he needs games at the top level. Perhaps not a full season if wafl is functional, but half a dozen at some stage.
If we want to emerge from the rebuild in serious contention then these players development is critical.

Literally forgot about sturt.

Honestly it's almost at the point where I wonder if given a fit list, does Mundy play?

Not bad but I'd have Banfield as a defensive forward or as you've named it, pressure forward. Sturt's our only med forward and Tab's our only real true KF so it highlights our draft needs.

Med Forwards: Cook, Perkins, Henry, Ginnivan, Ford, Callow? Poulter?
Tall Forwards: Cox? Reid? Neale? Callow? Baldwin? McMahon?

Banfield, Colyer, Conca, Bewley, Blakely, Acres, Aish - jog on boys👎.

Young, Valente, Giro, Meek even Sturt..? - who are these lads?? Hardly/have not seen them play..??? Certainly reluctant for best 22.

Not much depth there ppl

If we start well and look like potentially playing finals, keep Mundy. If the season slips away...

Wasn't the club seeking permission to pay part of his salary as a coach? Really good move.

You name a bunch of players who are classic depth at every club, plus at least 2 of the brightest prospects on our list. That is exactly what depth should look like.

By all means then put them all together on the park. We'll be premieres in no time🤣🤣

Conca and Aish there are 100% walk on starters. Conca was great in defence as a lock down on the small forwards and Aish is our best delivery by foot into the forward line by a long shot.

I’d have Banfield in the WAFL.... with Claremont or someone after he is delisted. Not at the level required from the games I’ve seen. I’m sure he’s a decent bloke and everything but sentiment doesn’t really come into these decisions.

The bloke is simply not up to it. Seriously holds us back with some critical errors and momentum killing moments.

You've twisted my arm. I standby the others tho

If you haven't seen Young much, I suggest looking a little bit harder...it'll be worth the effort.

Again. Tell a factual story and cop s**t for it or worst........... be ignored😢😢.🤣

It's denialist, head in the cloud Muppets like you that give us realistic Freo supporters a bad name. I'm sure you say every year... " Yep, this is our year!"

Hahahahaha lmfao.

Step away from the keyboard and experience life... You WILL learn something

Conca Hamling Hughes
Ryan Pearce Wilson

Aish Brayshaw Acres

Lobb Cox Colyer
Shultz Tabs Sturt

Darcy Fyfe Cerra

Logue Serong Tucker Hill

Colyer will be controversial but I think the coaching staff rate him for his speed and pressure, which this team is short on.

I have Young missing out but I’ve based it on b22 for round one assuming Hamling gets up.

Would have loved to find a spot for Crowden, Mundy and Frederick but it’s tough.
